Trains at Middlesbrough - 02/09/2021

Filmed on 02/09/2021. After what happened to be a troublesome journey to Middlesbrough via Durham Coast Line, we finally make it to Teesside for the final trainspotting session of the day (Season 8 Episode 29)
Before the trainspotting began, there was already some issues along Tees Valley Line: Due to a track circuit failure, most Northern services during the evening rush hour stint had to terminate at Redcar Central vice Saltburn. Replacement buses took over to and from Saltburn. Also, there had been a trespassing incident along Durham Coast Line.
This isn't a repeat from 2020 as compared to last year, Northern are running a full timetabled service throughout the Northern network. Additional services was spotted this time round rather than the 85% timetabled services that ran in 2020.
LNER are on some driver training duties between Heaton Depot along Tees Valley Line to Shell Junction. 800209 was on the days workings running as well to Northallerton. LNER are planning to introduce a brand new train service linking Middlesbrough direct to London Kings Cross in December 2021.
