GH GreenHouse Effects Nobrainer - Metal and sound walkthrough

- So I got hooked up with this pedal from GH Effects. Normally I don't do pedal tests but this thing actually blew me away. I recorded this video through my dads Fender Deluxe Reverb ultra clean amp and the Nobrainer distortion sounds awesome through it!
A short song test and then a pretty long playthrough where I try out some settings. The Tone and Mid knob combo makes for a wide array of distortions from rock to metal. Be sure to check out GH effects at www.gheffects.com/

wpw this pedal can pull off some freaking great tone ! I always tried pedal's but never got anything that sound so good!

@TheKarlo93 if you want to have a bonecrushing sound, get a high gain amp. If you want a cheaper setup, get a clean amp + distortion.

A distortion pedal that totally blew me away was the Blackstar HT-Blackfire. Quite a bit of coin, yes, but totally worth every penny imho. =)
Sounds pretty good for just $180. Better than a lot of other dist pedals out there. Kind of want to hear it through a tube amp with some grit though.

@themodernguitarist thanks but maybe you should have in mind that this pedal cost below 200$. If you're comparing it to high gain amps then you're in the wrong forum.
not a huge pedal guy also, but i think the best i have heard in person is pinnicle. Check out the Triple Wreak from Wampler

You should definitely do a review of the Amptweaker tight metal pedal as soon as it's available, it looks and sounds awesome from what I've seen so far.

wow i usually cringe at the thought of stomp-box distortions but this isn't half bad. i might even go as far as to say good.

I love the distortion character on this. Unfortunately yeah, it's fizzy as hell.
The tone in that demo in the beginning with the backing track automatically made me think of Destroy Erase Improve. That said, pretty cool demo, but I don't know if it will change my desire for a Maxon OD808...
Jesus this thing has insane amount of gain.Don't like the fact that it doesn't run off battery but the sound it produces is incredible (if you like metal of course).
Don't use too much of that tone control though,fizz galore...
@fearedse i think you can have bonecrushing sound either way...but you will need more than just a dist pedal like a booster/overdrive to push the distortion and some compressor of somekind.Espessialy if u invest some money on high quality pedals i believe u can compete anything. Just my opinion :)

Jag har en Engl Savage 120 med orange ppc412 (celestion V30), ISP Decimator samt forest green compressor. jag vill fixa till disten lite och hittade äntligen något som verkar intressant känns bl.a som att midcuten kan hjälpa en del. Vad tror du? eller har du något bättre tips på en pedal för ändamålet? Tack på förhand// Anders
