Bougainvillea is a genus of flowering plants native to South America, from Brazil west to Peru and south to southern Argentina. Chubut province). The bougainvillea is a popular ornamental plant in most areas with warm climates, including Indonesia, India, Taiwan, Zimbabwe, Vietnam, Malaysia, the Philippines, Australia, the Mediterranean region, The Caribbean, Mexico, Pakistan, Panama, South Africa, the southern United States and Hawaii.
The bougainvillea is a woody vine, shrub or tree with thorns. The vines usually grow from 1 to 12m high, crawling on other trees with spikes with hooks. The bougainvillea is suitable for hot and humid climates, with plenty of light and abundant rainfall all year round, this tree is also very easy to lose leaves if living in an environment with a dry season.
The leaves of the bougainvillea are often alternate, the leaves are simple ovate-shaped, with a pointed nose, 4-13cm long and 2-6cm wide. When in bloom, each 3-flowered cluster of the plant is usually surrounded by 3 or 6 leaves, the petals are thin and paper-like, so they are called bougainvillea. Flowers have many different colors such as pink, purple, purple, red, orange, white or yellow... and the fruit is a narrow, 5-lobed fruit. The bougainvillea is relatively pest-free, but can be vulnerable to worms and aphids. The larvae of some lepidopteran species can also damage bougainvillea, such as the giant leopard moth.

How to grow paper flowers
Bougainvillea is an adaptable plant that can be grown in the garden or in a pot, if grown in the garden, it should be planted on a slope or on a gentle soil. The bougainvillea has moderate water requirements, grows best in sufficient water conditions. Therefore, you must ensure that the soil has good drainage, avoiding waterlogging that causes root rot and death of the plant.
Regarding bougainvillea soil, for good drainage, you should add sand, peat moss, perlite or Vermiculite to the soil and then measure the pH of the soil before planting. If the pH is too high then you can add limestone to the soil to increase the pH or sulfur to lower the pH to a sufficient level. Plants will grow best with soil with a pH between 5.5 and 6.0.
The bougainvillea is often propagated and grown by cuttings, the implementation is quite simple.
Flowering cuttings: Should choose branches that are 1-2 years old, healthy, do not choose too old branches. Each branch can be cut into 20cm segments, but make sure each segment has 2 or more eyes. The best time to start planting is in the cool fall or the first 2 months of warm spring to help the plant grow smoothly. After choosing a branch to cut, you proceed to perform the following cutting steps:
Wet the bottom end of the cuttings, then dip the cuttings in the rooting hormone solution (you can buy rooting hormone solutions at your supply store).
Place the cuttings in the center of the pot or the cuttings so that the branches are tilted at an angle of 15 degrees, about 10cm deep.
Carry out watering always after cutting to cut the soil and provide water for the cuttings. Make a trellis for the tree with a black net or if you have a small amount of potted cuttings you can bring it to a cool place, avoiding direct sunlight.
Every two or three days you proceed to water lightly once to keep the moisture just right for the tree, do not overwater it, it will cause the cuttings to rot and not take root. When you see the sprout sprout, you remove the net to let the plant have enough light to grow.

@@sadiesadia5281 where I live the temperature can go up to 40 degrees. so you can totally do this. You just need to regularly humidify the plant
