In the eighth episode of Hope @ 11th Hour, we sit down (virtually) with Rabya Kulsoom Rehan, who is one of the most talented and promising actors currently in the Television industry of Pakistan. She has done some great characters in recent TV serials and also appeared in digital videos by Teeli. Having a great sense of choreography and Dance, She recently started a CZcams channel centred around dance, which has been an instant hit and is about to hit 50K subscribers in record time. Kulsoom also has a feature film lined up to release soon by the name of 'Gawah Rehna'.
In this interview, she speaks about how she was a dentist by profession and studied at Dow Medical college. She was practising when she got married and soon started feeling a little incomplete with dentistry. That's when she decided to switch careers and opted for Teaching. Bt when she didn't feel complete even there, her husband, Rehan Nazim encouraged her to take the leap of faith and pursue acting in the mainstream television industry. Until that time, Kulsoom had only done a few commercials. Getting a nod from the other family members was a journey for Kulsoom and she made out of it. She speaks about the entire journey in this interview.
In the later part of the interview, we talk about what is keeping her busy in the lockdown, her dance channel and the pressures that come with being a daughter and sister to artists who had made it big already when she entered showbiz. Kulsoom is the daughter of acclaimed TV actor Parveen Akbar and sister of one of the most prominent faces in today's times, Faizan Shaikh.

Hope @ 11th Hour is an initiative by 'heythara' in the times of lockdown to use the Instagram Live tool for spreading hope, kindness and gratitude. Shariq Thara, who is the founder of 'heythara' will go live every night at 11pm with on Instagram and try and speak with the guest about one incident that had them at the verge of giving up but they made it through. We will also talk about how are they coping up with all that the lockdown has brought with it, and what should one do if someone inspires to do what they do. In every episode, we will also have a unique topic specific to that guest. Hope this works out. The timings of the Instagram live for fresh episodes might vary a little depending on the guest's convenience.
