Yes you can record as simple camera. We couldn't do battery life test because.... everytime we did it, our assistant charges the devices (include other hardware) :/

How easy is it to download from the app to FB CZcams and other social sites from an IPhone? I had a Vivitar and couldn’t get it to download from the card or app in the 360VR format. Thanks! Northeast Pa! USA
thanks for posting the changes of the two cameras. unfortunately i ordered the 2nd generation one since it was on sale on amazon for only $85 US. i am in san francisco, and it is very expensive to live here so i watch my budget. if i like the 360Fly, i will upgrade to the 4K version when the price comes down. i left you a thumb up as a thank you for the comparison video.
Great review. I just picked up the HD. Hopefully I don't regret it especially with my indoor videos. Portland Oregon. I subscribed and liked!
HD version is fine for everyday sharing, 4K is more toward production side and it more costly.
