    I just got the 801. The only thing Samsung messed up on is they really should have made the power cord and HDMI -> mini HDMI longer. If you plan on mounting the soundbar under the frame TV (like I did), youre screwed unless you break open your drywall and hide the DC converter in the wall. Basically, the power source is only 5 or 6' so you can't string a wire and fish through the wall at a long distance. Same goes for the HDMI. You will definitely need to buy and extra HDMI cord and coupler to fish to the wall in order to connect to the Samsung Frame TV power bank.

    • @WaltsTV
      @WaltsTV  Před rokem

      True, I don't think there is a perfect one size all for this sound bar, its intended to have some sort of entertainment center below which not everyone is going to have.

    • @hghtrfnko8634
      @hghtrfnko8634 Před 9 měsíci

      Spot on, that coupled with the fact its made to wall mount but the cord point out to the left and right away from the center of the unit where you would feed your cables.

    This sound test, we've been able to hear came from soundbar only or was that with the Subwoofer together? If it's bar only - that's absolutely mind-blowing!

    • @WaltsTV
      @WaltsTV  Před 6 měsíci +1

      no that is with the subwoofer, its a shockingly good sounding soundbar for the size.

  • @silvitooo
    @silvitooo Před 4 měsíci +2

    I have this equipment a few days and I noticed that the sound of the bar is very high and without any record. When the bass increases to have a less high-pitched sound, the impact of the subwofer becomes very exaggerated. I still can't adjust for myself. sound modes are limited.

    • @WaltsTV
      @WaltsTV  Před 4 měsíci

      So this soundbar in particular is more about looks and getting good sound in a tiny form factor. If you want more control over the sound you have to go bigger and more bulky.

      Does your tv support Dolby Atmos? If not, and it supports Dolby Digital Plus, it can still pass through the Atmos signal and be processed by your audio device. If you have neither of those supported on your TV I don’t think you’re going to have much luck. Most streaming apps use the Dolby digital plus route and call it Atmos, true lossless Atmos is more of a blue ray thing.

    This thing sucks for 1 big reason which is that its only real connectivity option is HDMI-ARC, which means direct connecting it to a TV is pretty much the only option.
    This is fine for I'm sure many users who simply want to connect a soundbar to their TV, but for those of us looking for that ultra slim (and white) design in order to do some very specific things with, it is falling short for its creative potential.
    For example, I wanted to use it to be a very low profile and unobtrusive sound option by connecting it right near the floor just above my white baseboard. Then I would have used it with my 4k movie projector to essentially have a massive theater setup seemingly come out of nowhere.
    I wound up actually doing exactly this but there really is basically no way to connect it other than to a TV, so I jury rigged a ridiculous setup where I had a small LCD TV connected to the computer I was using the projector with, purely to be able to utilize this soundbar.
    People think, "oh surely there must be SOME sort of option like an adaptor or a special soundcard or something?" but NOPE.
