FAMILY!! i’m a first gen hk/chinese, who speaks cantonese, but doesn’t read or write, and every time i see a bit of cantonese or my roots in media, it makes my heart so happy. this video reminds me of family dinners where everyone flies/drives and travels to my aunt’s house in san francisco during the holidays, and the food and switch between english and canto from fills me with joy. and honestly, i agree with your parents, even though tx has good a decent asian population for a state in the south, the food doesn’t even compare to the stuff up north. keep doing what y’all are doing and sharing the joy of your cooking and love of food.
It's crazy how Tee is 100% HK/Cantonese but she somehow looks HAPA! I have a few HK homegirls who are just like this as well it always confused our group! Also, shoutout to Zach for that remix of Tee frying the lobster 😂😂

Family !!! My neighbors are Chinese, and moved from Maryland to New York, and opened a restaurant. Then 9 months later, covid hit. Last year they moved back. I am very happy to have them back, but very sad they lost their restaurant.
