Jeff, over here in South Carolina, i leave my overhead door open sometimes. I have this good old black snake that hangs around, and he comes in to clear my place of any of those pesky critters !!! Hardly ever see much of him, but they sure keep the undesirables away !!!

That stain is awesome! Brings out the grain and the knots! Beautiful color! Love how it matched the floor, beams on the ceiling, furniture. The work of a true craftsman! Beautiful home sir! Thank you for sharing and God bless!
love the barn doors. I should have went with those instead pocket doors. have to be careful where you put pocket doors. we have a closet as soon as you walk into our bathroom and a pocket door that goes in the wall along side of our vanity... just where we need to install a towel rack. Can't easily install a towel bar because the screws might be long enough inside the wall to scratch the pocket door as it slides into the wall. so, we'll have to go with a glue on towel rack or other option we don't much like.
Oh yeah, we have pack rats up here in Kansas. They’ve chewed off trail camera straps, our pull ropes on our tree stands (we started using steel cable). Then their cousins, the mice, get in the campers in deer camp. They are a pain in the behind. Great job on the doors!
Fine job, Jeff. Looks great. Staining pine can be tricky especially if you have a variety of pine. One trick I found, if you need pine stained really dark and you want it uniform, after you last sanding, use either water base or alcohol base dye, it comes in all colors. Use brown or dark brown even if it doesn't match your final product. After using the dye, then use your same staining process like you have done. Dyeing the wood first before staining will give you that darker uniform color. Those hanging barn doors really makes that place look rustic and complete, looks great!
