That’s brilliant, thank you!!! I have winters so my answer is to keep the inside & put a spigot on the outside.

Sweet. Thinking of building an external laundry room this will help a lot. Is there a limit as to how long the pvc pile can be?

In LA, it looks like 100' of pipe after the clean out is permitted for the gray water system. I'm looking at the permit book right now, lol

What if your washer is at a lower grade (approx 5ft) than your garden / trees?

Can I just install the garden hose attachment (without the irrigation pipes) and use the hose to water my plants? Also if using modern anti-siphon I don't need to install a p trap?

Yes you could use a hose. I don’t know the answer to your second question

take out the rock and put down mulch. rock is not helping keep that water in your soil.

No it is not. Converting our customers to mulch is sometimes a process. Plus hauling off rock takes a significant percentage of their budgets so sometimes compromises need to be made

Can I just put the hose from the washer to dump into a rain water tank without anti syphon?

2:25 that's not a switch, it is a valve. You're violating National Electric Code by running that water next to the electrical panel. Finally, the studer vent needs to be higher off the drain.
