You CAN glide between skill uses, but it disables if you take more than 2 seconds between each use. Also fun fact if you space out the usage of her E it covers WAY more distance for some reason it might be a glitch cause sometimes her 3rd activation covers nearly no distance, also when she lands she does an animation that tends to clip through the ground abit, lastly I could be wrong but her ult gives less height than Xiao's plunge.
I could be wrong, but I think the distance covered depends on if you're on the ground or in the air. I found that if you hit the ground before using her skill again she goes further (especially the 3rd use).
@@mimithiz Doing it on the ground and letting her feet hit makes it take more time, so spacing it out makes it cover more distance. The reason it covers MORE distance than in the air is likely due to an unintended movement bug that happens in many games (but devs tend to keep it in cause its fun and doesnt affect gameplay much). The bug is when you activate a mobility ability that follows an arc OR a path, when this ability is used on a slope of any kind even a small one it tend to propel the character further than intended. Thats my guess but Hoyoverse will be fixing these bugs after their new years celebration is over. Bugs such as the Geo Traveller's skill looking purple in the miasma zones rather than yellow lol.

Also if im not wrong the most stamina effective yet covers most distance (aside from the one you mentioned) is using it in the air with the wind glider due to her passive of moving 15% faster, and if you use the tool you'll go super duper fast.

xianyun actually doesn't take fall damage as long as you're falling during her e transformation state at any one of the jumps or even during the bird plunge, after it deactivates she can take damage.
They really couldve made her fun... they turn these iconic characters/mythical beings into such boring characters I swear. Who was it gonna hurt if she could plunge in that crane form forever
Something really weird, is that you get a boosted jump height after 3rd e, if after 3rd e you sprint jump and then attack you will do the plunge attack

0:20 yes you can glide, but not for much time, because of the cooldown , but if you go fast you can in a little time
