Thank you for this video, it was super helpful. I have a 2022 Denali and I installed an aftermarket Black Denali center section with the matte chrome outer. I removed and swapped the outer trims just like you did. Looks amazing!
This was very helpful and informative to watch. It looks sooooooo sweet with that denali grill on it. I have a 2022 SLT also and really want that Denali front also just like yours. It really changes the car in a huge way. Well done!!
I watched this and did mine myself, on a 2022 XL SLE also. Really need to be careful not to touch any of the chrome plastic to concrete; especially when pulling the shiny old outer ring off or it will scratch really bad. Put some blankets under the grill to avoid tool marks. Also, when putting it back it is very easy to gouge the painted plastic bumper that sits beneath the grille. Now that I have done it I have a technique for that also, but touch up paint likely required also.
Steve, thanks again for posting this install tutorial. I just installed mine tonight and this helped tremendously! The only thing I noticed was my guidelines are not showing up like the did before the install. Did you have to do a flash or reprogram at the dealer after you changed out your camera?
I did have an issue afterwords, but learned that one of my sensors had gotten unplugged. Once I found that and plugged it back in it was normal again! Good luck

Hi Steve just did the same thing! Had to order Denali camara and Mount. I figured camara was the same. Ridiculous you can’t just order the Mount alone. So all your functions work properly like the crash alert etc? I wondered if it would need calibrated? Thanks for the video, I didn’t realize the chrome came off the sides until I watched your video! That would have been a deal breaker if I couldn’t have swapped! Rich

Just put mine on, actually a mechanic friend helped while I watched mostly. Took about 3 hours start to finish. Was a little tricky unclipping the grill. Not that easy. But, it looks great especially with the brighter chrome surround from the SLT grill. Were you able to sell the SLT grill with the duller denali surround chrome strips? I wonder if the brighter slt grill chrome surrond can be ordered in case I try to sell it.

I bought a new SLT XL and ordered the grill also. I like the denali grill much more but the extra 10k for the denali was not worth the money. My SLT is perfect. only thing missing is the HUD. Anyway the dealer put the new grill on and then took it off and said they couldn't mount the camera. Now they are looking into what to do. I see below a new mount can be ordered for this? They made it sound like it couldn't be retrofitted at all. Please let me know what to tell them. Thanks
They can make it work if they buy the Denali camera/mount. The camera is the same, but the mount is different. Use the part number listed above, it’s about $110

I am back again! One year later and I am still sitting here wishing I had the Denali grill on my SLT Yukon. I went to a dealership this week and they told me that they would not put the grill on it. So, I went to a local body shop that said that they would do it, but they were not sure about what parts/pieces that I needed to order. I am not sure either. I found a Denali grill kit on Ebay but it does not come with the GMC emblem. Is that something that can transfer over from the SLT grill or would I have to order separately elsewhere? Also concerned about the front camera and what pieces will transfer or will be needed. At this point, I absolutely hate the front of my car and am contemplating trading it in if I can't get the switch done. Any insight you may have would be greatly greatly appreciated! I have a 2021 Yukon slt and the dealer told me that the Denali grill won’t fit on the SLT I showed them ur video and they said he must have did some modifications to fit it
So, do you need to order both part numbers, 84710888 and 84710882? And do you think all listed part numbers will fit 2022 model of SLT? Thanks so much in advance
Marcus, No you just need to order the #84710888 to go along with the grill. The one that comes with the SLT is the one that on it and you can’t use it. Also, I believe the ‘22 is the exact same fit.

Everything works the same/nothing changed. I even used the old camera with the new mount so now I have a spare camera that’s brand new.

Correct. The cameras are the same & unfortunately a new camera also comes with the mount needed.

After you get the bolts out of the two tabs it should just pop off

It’s been 3years, but I think you just pull it forward from the front after the two bolts are removed
