An angel on earth paying tribute to an angel in heaven.
I am not aware of any other artist who would share their grief with their family/fans.
She is the real deal. This is proof that she is.
Iam 63 and this brings tears to my eyes as I think of all the loved ones I could done better with Angelina is simply heavenly sent
This was filmed right after her paternal grandpa passed in Mar 2018 when she was 12. Her maternal grandpa passed in Nov 2019 & she wrote & performed Million Miles when she was 14.
All of us who have lost a loved one. Especially this year in this terrible pandemic. Will feel the depth of this song and the beautiful heartfelt version of Angelina. She is something special.
This #AngelinaJordan song has brought most all of us to tears. And for those that it didn't there's something seriously wrong. She sat down to make this video with her guitarist Ivan shortly after attending services for her grandfather. And she posted it on CZcams with the care and trust that her music fans would be supportive and understanding. What courage for a 13 year old. Good reaction.

On her Facebook page she wrote: "Our family lost a treasure today, my grandfather passed away. He was very close to me and have always supported me in everything I did. He always made me smile, laugh and gave me great life lessons. He was a man who got respect from all over the town, always helped people in need, he was the definition of a true gentleman and generous man with a big heart. He will be remembered by homeless people he helped to be able to make a living. He was in deep pain for a couple of months now, he will no longer suffer from the pain. May he rest in peace, our memories together will stay forever in my heart. Until we meet again,❤️"

As she does with so many songs, Angelina re-interprets the exact lyrics and personalizes the loss of someone close to her-and we listeners relate immediately with our own memories. Angelina’s connection with us is, as always, immediate and personal.
If you are able to set aside your emotional response, which is almost impossible, her voice is absolutely beautiful here-deep, resonant, and perfect for the lyrics. I’ve heard this maybe fifty times, and I feel her emotion and mine every time.
I'm presently caring for my mother and honouring her wish to die at home. I choked up on the first line of this song. I heard it growing up, but Angelina's pain, it meshed with mine. Even in grief, she reaches something within you. She IS a gift.

Every time I watch this, I feel like I'm intruding on a private moment. Obviously, since she posted it on CZcams, I'm not, but it sure feels like it. From the point she inserted the word Grandpa into the lyrics, she slowly starts to lose composure and then mangles the lyrics and my heart is breaking the whole time.
I've seen Angelina cry three times: when she won NGT, golden buzzer on AGT and this one. The other two were happy tears. This one was painful.

Angelina naturally transfers a huge amount of emotion when she sings, but when her emotions are out of control then it just intensifies the amount of emotion transferred to unbearable levels. I can no longer watch this performance, it’s too powerful!

I am sure i read somewhere this was performed 2 days after either the funeral or the passing of her grandfather. Very raw and very hard hitting and courageous by her.

I see Angelina sang this song as her way to speak to her grandfather one last time, to grief over the loss and to heal and move on knowing she'll always have him in her heart. It's the best way toward healing and it's such a gift to us for her to share this. I'm sorry for your loss of your grandparents also, Cliff. As you said, you can tell by watching how it affects Angelina. You don't have to have experienced the loss of loved ones recently for Angelina's version of this song to affect you. My Grandparents passed away 50 years ago, and my brother 30, and my parents 15, and I was wiping tears before she was even a minute in to the song. Angelina seems to always bring tears from some kind of emotion, and it's one of the reasons I love to hear her sing.

I've heard many version of this song, Willie Nelson, Elvis, Pet Shop Boys among them, but Angelinas was the one that really got to me, by far.
The emotional breakdown put aside, this was an absolute amazing performance vocally. The vibrato she provides is just insane, and the way she holds her note enhances the emotions she's showing. Her deviations from the original tune makes it hers, and are beautiful. Also listen to the guitarist Ivan Mendez, he follows Angelina perfectly.

Elvis recorded it just after the separation from his wife. Until I first heard Angelina sing it, I always felt it was about a person taking his/her love for granted until that person left them. But with Angelina dedicating it to her grandpa it makes it to be so much more. The lyrics "Tell me...tell me that your sweet love hasn't died" now has so much more meaning, when addressing a loved one who didnt just leave, but passed away. You can be in distress about your love leaving you for another man/woman and if they still have love for you; hoping they will come back. But when talking about your loved one who passed away/passed over, it becomes that horrible feeling of not only losing that person, but also questioning if their love is gone as well. "Tell me...tell me that your sweet love hasn't died". It has so much more depth in meaning in this interpretation. Even if your loved one passes over, you will still be shielded by their love. I've had a hard life. But as hard as it was. I'm glad I never had to deal with the pain of loss like others do. I have struggled with loneliness an not having family. An growing up in the system. But with all my pains an struggles. I'm so happy I never had to deal with that. But my heart still goes out to those that have. I just think it's amazing to have love like that.

That one is so tough. I think as an addict to AJ, I've only seen this like 3 times. On purpose. But I love your reactions to her, so that helped.
