    I hope the gap from Robertsbridge can be closed. I saw the Network Rail vid and I am glad they are supportive. I forgot Colonel Stephens was involved with this railway but no surprise as this line never got incorporated into the Southern Railway

    Why do they call this the Rotherham Valley Railway? Surely the Rotherham Valley Railway runs from Chesterfield to Rotherham? That route pre dates this misnamed railway by several years.

      No-one (except, perhaps, you) calls this the Rotherham Valley Railway. It's the ROTHER valley railway, because it runs along the floor of the valley of the river Rother in Sussex.
