    Lad hadn’t taken a shot for two racks and Shaw still took the next shot great for his confidence. Then telling him how to play every shot

    Old footage, but it's nice to see Majid still playing. I remember watching him and Bustamante going hill hill, i think, at one of the early 2000 US opens.
    Decent player.

    How the hell did Sanderson get picked, at least 50 players ahead of him.

      Well, he certainly couldn't have done much more with the shots he faced. The bad safety on the 2 combined with a bad break, most teams be 7.0 all day long.

    Props to Jayson for teaching and looking out for the younger players.

    That was a bit embarrassing. How can that Sanderson, in a big tournament like this, possible be in the top 2 players in Great Britain?

    Has Jayson still not forgiven Chris for missing that easy nine ball?

    I feel luck sometimes can play an outsize role in pool and this match is a perfect example. Team A didn't get that many chances, TBH, and team B ran away with it all.
    Melling and Majid played well, of course, with very tight strategy and not stupid misses or bad shots, but still Shaw and Sanderson got shut out for the most part without any big misses or mistakes from them.

      Literally the first shot is a bad shot from shaw. Broke right into the side pocket with the cue. Don't make excuses for others please.

    Shock! Team beats non-team in team sport. Too much pressure on Sanderson to play each shot according to Shaw's dictates...this is not the spirit of a team game...unless your playing partner is making a clear blunder or they ask your opinion, let them play their way. No?

    • @Igregorio
      @Igregorio Před rokem +1

      Not really. The things didn't go their way actually (Shaw 's team). And it's not uncommon that the partners would communicate to the other - what cue ball position would suit them, or to follow a certain path.

    • @zendisciple3737
      @zendisciple3737 Před rokem +1

      @@Igregorio Yes, there is a little more communication than my comment might imply, such as where would you like the white etc...but it is usually a two-way communication in this instance, not a one-way communication. That was the problem with this 'team'.
