    I have been looking for a how-to video for the companion app, but I haven't found one that is very useful. Your Rouvy videos are much more informative and helpful than anything else I can find to include the official Rouvy videos. Great video!

      Thanks Don, just some starter stuff. Hmmm a companion app video, that’s a great idea

      Thanks Bernard, just want to keep them short. Easier to watch when starting out, basic stuff if you’ve been on Rouvy for awhile

    At 4:11 when you connected your HRM, there was a ‘10’ next to battery. What does this number mean?

    • @insidecyclingworld
      @insidecyclingworld  Před 8 dny

      HI Nigel, thanks for the question. Oh that "10" number is just the battery level on the Heart Rate Monitor. I have gone through quite a few of these things from expensive ones to more budget friendly. Guess it was time to change the battery soon at that point.

    Sorry not about sensors! Do you know how the ETA is figured for rides?

    • @insidecyclingworld
      @insidecyclingworld  Před 7 měsíci +1

      Hey William, all good. I just saw something that said they use approx 80% of your FTP. So that leaves lots of room for error. I’d think of it as just a guide. Important to make sure your FTP is set. Are you finishing ahead of ETA most of the time?

      @@insidecyclingworld really just switched from Zwift so not sure but think it’s pretty close. I will start looking at it now. I’m old and slow and needed some motivation. Thanks for the help!

    I use a Stages SB20 and AppleTV. On the whole I’m happy, but cannot get my Garmin HRM to connect to the Rouvy sensors. The Rouvy app finds it immediately, but just doesn’t connect.
    It’s not the end of the world, as of course I have power meters, but it’d sure be nice to connect the HRM too.

      Hey Simon, I'm not a Garmin expert by any means but the only thing I can think of is that your Garmin is connected to something else. So Rouvy sees it but can't make connection?
      Here is something that might work, see if you can pair your Garmin HR to the bike itself. I used to have a JetBlack Volt(the Zwifthub) and it allowed you to do this. This way all your sensors: power, cadence,Heart rate were all bundled in one package and communicated to the software.
      Not sure if the bike does it, but the Stages Bikes are really impressive so it wouldn't surprise me.
      BTW is it a Garmin watch? I have had troubles before , I will ask some of the people in my Discord....there is always an answer there.
      How are you enjoying the bike and Rouvy so far, what are you riding?

      @@insidecyclingworldThank you for the reply.
      The HRM is connected to a Garmin Edge 1040, but this is always off when I’m on my Stages bike. I also have a Fenix 6, this does not have any sensors connected.
      There is a Stages app, and I’ve been able to connect the HRM, but the data here is different to the Rouvy. So maybe I can disconnect the Stages bike from Rouvy, and add the Stages App?! I’ll try, but I’m not sure it’ll work.
      Otherwise, it’s terrific!
      The bike is built like a tank, and quiet. I’d have preferred narrower handlebars, but other than that, love it.
      My only criticism would be the UI in the Rouvy app and the Rouvy website are too different. The workouts are not bundled the same.

    I have been trying to use Rouvy on my Samsung phone and then connect using a USB C to HDMI to a non smart TV. This then initiates Dex and I can view Rouvy on the TV. The problem I have is that I can't connect my trainer. It won't find any devices. The Bluetooth is turned on on my phone. Do you know why this could be?

    • @insidecyclingworld
      @insidecyclingworld  Před 4 měsíci +1

      Which trainer are you using? I believe you have the option to Display All devices, maybe it is hiding under a strange name by the maker? Also make sure you pair the controllable sensor as well. Some trainers will automatically do both(Tacx Neo 2T) but I remember that my Tacx Flux did not, meaning your trainer is paired but not changing the resistance at all.

      Elite direto. I resolved the issue. I didn't have my phone setup to allow changes from the Rouvy app. 🤦
