    The reason Robin doesn’t want to touch that is clearly because of some past trauma with a mother situation similar to the post he saw and even brings up his own experience with CPS later on. So no it wasn’t him being one sided of going after the dads and not the moms.

      Sounds reasonable. But I've also experienced quite a bit of silence on the matter with regards to custody of children from the progressive types I've followed in the past. There's a very obvious reason why the red pill became such a huge issue, and it's because not only does the left or progressive not have an answer, they don't even mention it as an issue.
      But even with that said, I can't say I'm right leaning or conservative, because my temperament is very liberal, but their neglect in discussing these issues is extremely disappointing.
      So given the lack of discussion surrounding this issue on people who openly discuss and criticise conservative values, even rightfully, creates a vision where child abuse and neglect apparently isn't an issue, because that child is in the hands of its mother, as if they aren't capable of just as much, if not worse neglect.
      A child can live with being betrayed by their father, but if a child experiences the betrayal of a mother, especially with no one to look after it properly, that will psychologically ruin a child's entire life.

      Can't it be both? I mean we are living in the day and age of wave 3 feminism where politics are more involved than anything else and they wanna remove men from having opinons. Women have more power now than....actually 200 years ago they could get a black man lynched by saying he touched her so maybe things haven't changed all that much in power. Just now millions of people will know instead of a few hundred and can be done with any race not just blacks.

      I became really tight with my money specifically because of my mom. She worked a nice job in a medical center making a bunch of money but this woman could not control her spending. She put herself in so much debt, mistreated her credit card, got nice stuff I’d realize later in life was stuff she couldn’t actually afford. We lived as a borderline middle class family but were basically poor. I learned a valuable lesson “hold onto your cash with every ounce of strength, don’t give a cent more than you need, collect money like a dragon hoarding gold” I love my mom but I’m glad I don’t live with her anymore.

It was just regular. You act out of line you get the belt. And ya know what? It worked. He never had to use it cause I didn't wanna do anything that would make him have to use it. Discipline your children folks. But DO NOT, ABUSE THEM! There IS a difference!

  • @AhSatansART
    @AhSatansART Před rokem +13

    Spanking your child is NOT part of being and adult, you should never rise your hand to a child PERIOD, I now have a constant flinch whenever someone raises their hand to me or suddenly gets up out of their chair. You see when a parent thinks the hand spanking has stop working they then go for the belt, I was spanked bare ass with a leather metal riveted belt till I was bruised and bleeding.
    So does spanking work? NO! Your child will fear you and as soon as they can find an escape they'll take it.

    • @funtimeian2040
      @funtimeian2040 Před rokem +2

      I do not believe in people/parents doing abuse or 'spanking' on the guides of 'discipline' when it's done every day and it's more than just telling your child not to do something bad and explaining why, more like 'it's more' as in abuse. But I believe in discipline, key word, DISCIPLINE. If you did something bad, you should be disciplined, very obvious. But when you raise your hand (or weapon) and hurt a child, even when your child accidently, or intentionally broke something (like a vase or a cup), that is unforgiveable.
      Also I do agree with you in saying that spanking doesn't work, because all that's gonna do is make your child fear you, and make them more like obedience from fear.

    • @posidonentertainmentcompan8490
      @posidonentertainmentcompan8490 Před rokem +2

      Personally when I was a kid I was spanked when I became violent or was actively misbehaving, and yes it did go to far a few times but generally it was positive and done well with my safety in mind. It helped me understand who to act in the world and it was unfortunately a necessary step for me to mature properly. Though the point is for discipline, spanking as a whole isn't straight up evil or inherently bad though much of it is done improperly.

    • @crazy922blade
      @crazy922blade Před rokem +3

      Absolutely. I couldn’t agree more. Parents don’t realise that this is how murderers are made and moulded. And once they’re made, who do you think they’ll go after first? And even besides the murderer thing, why would you beat your kids anyway? You brought them into this wretched world against their will, and are now forcing them to do things under penalty of assault. That’s literally what happened to slaves. Some parents need to realise that “tough love” doesn’t work both ways.

    The people who say spanking is too far really shows how soft our modern society has gotten lol there's a difference between abuse, and spanking your child once in a blue moon when they do something UNBELIEVABLY bad. And when you do, you give them some time then come talk to them to help them understand that what they did was absolutely terrible, and NEVER do it for long or go out of your way to make it hurt worse, and only when it is something absolutely huge your child did wrong. There is a line between abuse and proper discipline, and people on both sides of that isle need to see it more

    I liked the video a lot, but I have to bring up something important. Like, SUPER IMPORTANT.
    I watch channels like Emkay, as well as reactions to the videos, like this, because I had SEVERE abuse as a child. I have cPTSD and a laundry list of issues, a lot of them still untreated due to the fact that I haven't found a great support system for them.
    The part where you were talking about discipline vs fear, I happened to be only listening in the background, since I tend to zone off sometimes and work on other things (ADHD and Autism at work. I was still paying attention though, as you'll see, unfortunately.)
    I got sent into a panic episode with the footsteps example. The screaming of "He did WHAT?!" sounded exactly like what I dealt with as a child, and the footsteps are exactly what I trained myself to listen for, and hide from.
    Of course, I'm a girl, but...
    So, I guess, I'm saying this as nicely as possible: for anyone who may view this from the r/insaneparents community, which is not only filled with children with crazy parents but also children who had abusive parents, maybe put a warning in that section?
    Thanks again. And by the way, you earned my sub.

    Also no, NO, Nate. you do not HIT your child, spanking Included. It's violence and is illegal to do to a grownup, so what in the hell makes it right to use violence on a child?
    If you need to use violence to win an argument or get your point across.... you sorta lost the argument. The only thing that shit does is make the child FEAR the parent and usually turn violent in like school and such because 'so because dad is stronger than me and I did something he dun like, he hits me.... that means I do the same to the nerd in class that does something I DUN LIKE... and I am stronger than him'.
    I've been hit by my dad ONCE cuz he was angry that day on just about anything and I... think I accidentally knocked over something.
    I was afraid of my dad for over a month and he kept trying to have me be comfortable around him again, and I was constantly walking on eggshells, I was afraid to say much except 'yes dad, no dad'.
    If that's what you call 'normal child upbringing' then there's something seriously wrong with your head.
