How to identify pnp or npn transistor using multimeter
In this video we are going to identify PNP and NPN transistor using digital multimeter.
Follwoing are the Steps to identify PNP or NPN transistor:
Step 1 : Switch on multimeter and put the dial indicator to Contnuity mode.
Step 2 : Considering transistor as PNP connect the negative probe to the middle terminal (Base) of transistor. With positive probe touch other terminals one by one and check for reading. If reading is there then transistor is PNP type.
Step 3 : In case reading is not there flip the terminals and repeat he above procedure. If reading is there on multimeter then transistor is NPN type.
