This build is actually OBSCENE with the volley crossbow - each of the three arrows in the spread shot counts as a separate hit for smite, unlike shotguns, so you crit every other shot; Despite that, the ENTIRE VOLLEY crits, giving you both ludicrous crowd clear and dps. Also, because you crit the whole volley every other shot, you're actually AMMO POSITIVE, meaning if you just spam the volley (And don't miss), scavenger will trigger on ALL THREE SHOTS, tripling your ammo gain, regenerating more ammo than you spend. I gives you BH/Waystalker level ammo economy. (This obviously doesn't matter a whole lot now that nobody uses ammo-based weapons, but still) As some additional upsides, it gives you a much bigger anti-special presence, which is a role zealot is traditionally strong in with access to the crossbow, which can help relieve some pressure off your teammates. (EDIT) Also also, because each hit is treated seperately and ranged attacks give you zeal stacks for ult CD, it lets you burn ult for utility (like resses) and still be able to reset by just spamming into the horde.

You only get five volleys per load, but every volley is a guaranteed crit on all three arrows and all of them have massive overpen, so they tend to oneshot entire spawns. Plus, you don't actually need that much room for a reload - you need more than one push, but as long as you're not off playing singleplayer just walking at a teammate should give you the space. I do see the griffon foot argument, but I like arguing in favor of the volley because is so horribly dogshit in every other situation, and I feel like it should get like, one thing to be good at :3

Instead of running duck foot pistols, run the 3 peat crossbow with the consecutive fire boost. Two shots, you get crits every other shot, and you get full 5 consecutive shooter stacks which gives you 20% power. I delete bosses like this.
I’d say the rapier build is the most fun. Deff not the most dps but it does give you a lot of mobility. Once you’re good enough to never take dmg you won’t need to worry about losing passive or going off “meta”. Zalot is one of the careers that's very hard to die with.

The Hunter range weapon trait would also go well with this setup, as it would give you 25% more power against that armor type you active it on. Which you can have multiples of active at one time. Of course you would no longer generate ammo.

FPS chunking is most likely due to CPU performance in this game not GPU so set everything that says it has CPU impact to off or lowest it can go. Then for visibility set ambient light to lowest, volumetric clouds to lowest and ambient occlusion to as low as you can tolerate. Your game will look heinous but you'll see everything lol
plus crit power only affects the crit part of the damage. so if you normally hit for 100 and on crits do 200 only the additional 100 has anything added to it so you end up doing 220 instead of 200 with +20% crit power. So on every 5th hit you'd hit about 10% harder so a 2% damage increase meanwhile 5% attack speed would be about 5% more damage/stagger/cleave strength. +10% power vs would add about 10% more damage/stagger/cleave strength to the specific targets affected by that. TL;DR Crit power is almost always a trash stat with it being arguably good in very few niche scenarios.
