The most complete/enlightening backhand flip/flick tutorial for sure! Thank you very much. Just found your channel recently, I'm really enjoying all the content 👍
Thank you! I tried to put everything I knew into this
@@PechPongTT Yeah, that's great! Thank you
This guy is not just a good teacher he is also amazing person with a big hart ❤. How simple is this guy when explaining something… I’m watching another tutorials and there is not such simplicity in other teachers.
Hey thanks, I appreciate the kind words! I’ve had the opportunity to work with many students and I’ve found ways to help them understand this game. I’m glad the internet can spread the info to a much wider audience:)
Keep up the good work! Even though you are a high-level player, you still remember, and are able to clearly explain, so many useful tips to help out a lower-level player such as myself.
Thank you very much! I’m glad you understand it, I also coach a lot and I enjoy being able to convey technique in a way that’s understandable!
Great video ! Many thanks. Will be watching more of your videos for sure 💥💥
This is absolutely incredible! You touch on so many different facets of the flip! As a ~1900 player trying to improve, I really want to build more flips into my game, but I often lose confidence during matches when I have trouble judging spins and depths. Your discussion on paddle angle, looseness of the wrist (I'm penhold, but same concepts apply), and footwork was super helpful! I've only recently discovered your videos, but have been watching them religiously and telling all my friends! Keep it up!
Thank you for the kind words! Glad you have found them informative! Keep up the hard work 📈📈
It's great to see you posting new videos again, Seth. Thanks for another great video with quality content! Best TT channel out there for sure.
Also, I recently saw a video of your last match with Sharon that Samson Dubina posted. Your backhand looks lethal now! Your receives of Sharon's backhand serve were superb as well. Clearly, you've been putting in a lot of hard work and its paying off.
Thank you for the compliments!! Yes I have been working hard to keep improving, I hope to keep it up :)
Thank you for taking the time to do this videos! I appreciate the amount of work you put into them and I hope you will manage to continue recording! Getting lots of input for my own training 👍
That’s great and thank you, I’ll keep trying my best here to make them!
too much talktive
Thanks a lot Seth !! Really appreciate the content and the way you are presenting and explaining the topic. Very helpful video, thank you 👍😊
Thank you! Im glad you liked it :)
Amazingly good. Don't want to repeat what others have said. The analogies you use and the animations you use in the teaching have made it easy to understand and remember! Great job! Big thanks!
Yes I want the Info to be new and understandable! Glad you enjoy it 😁
Thank you for the thorough & detailed explanation in this great video ! Your TT channel is awesome 👍🏼👍🏼
Thank you for the compliments! I’ll try to keep it awesome
Enjoy your detailed explanation. Help me a lot.
Not only are you an incredible player you are an incredible teacher
Viewing this video again after 5 months and my backhand flip has been at a higher level than five months ago as many people have told me, I have more insights and even better understanding. Thank you Coach!
I’m glad this video has been part of your success in improving! Keep it up 👍 thanks for coming back to share your success :)
This is great !! I did not think about applying this technique for countering top spin/side spin until now. Always thought it is mainly for countering back spin.
That’s great that I could give you some new thoughts 👍👍
One of the best tutorial and practical exercises to master this shot. Great work!
Thank you very much I’m glad you think so!!
You listened to me and made the flip video 😄 the best backhand flip video on CZcams, awesome!! Gonna watch it many times💪🏻
Yeah man!! It was a great idea 💡 glad you liked it 👍
Another great video that just what I need. Still clearly stated, comprehensive and practical. Thank you very much. What I need to do now is to practice with the points mentioned in the videos.🙌
Great! good luck and hope it improves your game!
Amazing video! Lots of insights and useful tips, thank you! 👍👍👌
Glad you liked it :)
Great videos Seth, I continue to use these in my coaching!! Wonderful and thorough review of flip.
Great to hear, I’m glad you like them 👍 more to come☝️
Great tutorial. Your videos are excellent, super well explained with a nice selection of examples. Really helps to conceptualise and understand the various technical aspects of the stroke. Thank you!
Thank you! Im glad you felt it was understandable
Thank you for another insightful breakdown of a "difficult" technique. Just need to find time yo practice it!
Yeah it takes time but keep working at It 👍
Dedicated! 👏🏻 Bravo!
Absolutely brilliant Seth
This is going to help me greatly
Specifically the section on how to practice it
Great! Hope you see big improvements!
Fantastic video, Seth. Thank you very much. It will so useful to me. I use to play with a friend that always serves with backspin, shorts, longs, but not too loaded.
I saw at your video that I have to hit the ball with total decision. All the tips are great!
A big hug from Lima, Perú.
Glad it was helpful!
Awesome tips!! Thanks Seth!
You bet!
you teach awesome things, keep going please! your detailed instructions help me practise the right way
Glad to hear that my attempts to explain have been helpful!
Your videos and descriptions are great, im at the stage of some of my flips are great but way too inconsistent ( flat blade, watching pros 😅 ) open blade from now on, awesome thanks.
Great to hear! I’m there to, working up to it eventually 💪💪
What a king! i have a feeling this man can do anything he puts his mind to! What a star!
Thanks Jimmy :) appreciate the confidence in my corner
As a medium-level player, I found your instruction and tips to be just what I need to take my game to the next level. Thank you very much.
That’s why I’m here! I work with medium level players a bunch so I think I have some good pointers on the common mistakes and also the progress that needs to be made in specific areas. Thank you for the positive feedback more to come!
i dont even play TT--i come here because this gentleman is such an amazing teacher with a big heart to share all this info and expertise..you have a great gift in teaching..thks so much!
Haha that’s awesome that you don’t even play tt but enjoy them! Thank you for the compliments I try my best :)
Immediately put this into practice thank you!
That’s awesome! Glad it got you to want to practice it 👍👍
Thanks indeed. Very useful for all backhand dominant players!
Thanks glad to hear it :)
you are too good dude, i hope youtube has recommended you to me earlier!
thanks , learned a lot!
Congrats for such a good tutorial. Very didactic, also well adjusted technically to medium level players. As you perfectly pointed out, only a few players can perform elite movements, as they master the Flick after many years of practice and stroke evolution.
Thank you, yeah its confusing when you watch the pros, I felt it was important to point some things out because of the disconnect in level. I have had to take my own advice and try building up my game in a more stable manner its more fun that way anyways! thanks again :)
Such clarity 👏
You have a new subscriber. Awesome video. Accurate with great examples, clearly articulated and makes total sense. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and skills.
Thank you for the subscribe! Glad you found it clear and understandable! More info to come 👍
Amazing video, learned a lot and has a lot of info I can put into my games. Recently I haven't been hitting my flips, and I had to be taught that I need to aim for the left side and to close my bat angle more.
When you want to strike the ball more aggressively with spin closing the bat angle is good. But much confidence is needed
positioning the elbow high in the air and stepping in with the same side foot is an excellent tip. hope i can put those in action. and loose wrist and contact timing is something new for me. thanks
Great glad that you found a few of the tips helpful!
Thank you again, great information in rapid fire format. I love it.
Haha yeah no point to drag it out right 😂
My god you are such a great coach..!!!!!!! Thanks for this. I hope your channel blows up fast.
Thank you!! I try my best to make it simple and understandable and keep all the complexity that needs to be conveyed. I hope it grows as well 😃
Excellent series... Luv'em!
Thanks glad you like it
Hey Seth,
Thank you!
I will try it at practice today! 👍
Great! Glad this video makes you want to go and practice that 🙌
Great documentary about BHF with some useful tips on how to get the stroke enhanced
Really Good effort
Thank you for sharing
Glad it was helpful!
Great video! Thank you Seth!
Thank you! glad you liked it :)
Excellent tutorial! I have no words...
Thank you!
Thank you Seth you are amazing. Your teaching is truly what people are not telling either because they don’t want to or are not capable. I am a low level player but enthusiastic about the game. I recently found your channel I really enjoy and appreciate your videos. You explain it very well though I can’t yet put the techniques in practice. Thank you very much again.
Your spinning the wheel, one movement robot and fishing rod metaphors are enlightening!
Thank you, yeah I have worked with lots of people and trying to figure out ways to make them visualize the technique has been a learning process and now I get to share the ones that I felt were most effective with everyone :)
Thanks you have a made this very easy to understand and I will now try to bring into my game more! Great!
Thank you glad to hear it!! go get it :)
Great job, Seth, wery clear and understandable!
Thank you! yeah glad you understood everything
Great tutorial! I will be moving to Columbia stations in August. Will be coming to your club and take some lessons from you.
Sounds like a plan! 👍
Best video so far on this topic!
Glad you think so!
Great video. There's a video with Pitchford demonstrating his flick. He closes the paddle a lot more. Of course, he is among the best in the world 🙂.
For those who don't have a wheel contraption, use an empty water bottle with a ball on top (remove the cap). Brush the ball off without knocking the bottle down. Don't remember where I saw this, but I found it a great way to develop spin.
That’s an awesome way to learn! I may use that thanks for the idea. Yeah pitchford creates great speed and is very precise I think as a player improves they can slowly close the angle little by little to get more direct linear speed speed
GOLD 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Thanks for making this detailed video.
No problem my friend! I am glad you enjoy them :)
One of the best BH flip videos on youtube! You covered some questions that i still had after whatching probably dozens of other BH flick videos. And i am probably stealing your Golf Tee idea :)
That’s great! Glad you liked the video haha go for it :)
Your explanation is clear and deep in dealing with the ball and how to hit it correctly.... Thank you
Thank you for compliments!
Love your answers on where to hit the ball of different spins
Glad those visualizations help 👍👍
thank you. It is a very good lesson with comprehensive explanation and demonstrations.
Thanks 🙏 glad you liked it
I'm sure I am not the first one who tells you that, but you can have a great coaching career!
You always make very thorough analysis and most important - you chose the right words to describe it to players.
Keep it up!
Thank you yes I try my best and really focus on trying to make it understandable for everyone :)
Thanks Seth! I've learned a lot from you :)
thats awesome glad to hear it :)
Thank you very much for those detailed Videos and „secret“ tips 😁
No problem glad to offer my viewpoint!
Wow this video is gold. Going to try it for sure.
Glad you liked, hope it helped!
You're really good at passing your knowledge with great valuable details. Lovely tutorial. Thanks for sharing.
Glad you liked it and understand!
Would love to apply those tips to my training. Sucks that since corona I haven't been able to train properly inside.
Yeah its a bit of a struggle, you can work on the other strength bars of your game such as moving or strength or flexibility, that way when you come back to the table you will be a more capable version of yourself!
Such good instruction. Amazeballs !
Thank you very much!
Great informqtion and instruction. I think you have a great coaching career ahead.
Thank you very much! I hope to continue improving 📈
Very much useful and enjoying hope this will improve my game
Glad to hear it! keep working hard it!
Great and complete content. Thank you. Greetings from Brazil
Thank you! Glad you liked it
THANKS FOR SHARE THIS VIDEO. GREETINS FROM BARCELONA SPAIN ❤
I can tell u having a good time doing this videos and that s why I'm giving you a sub ! Great job ! Luv it !
Thank you! Yes I do enjoy making them 😁
You did it so nice to explain the bh flip, which is quite difficult to master. Big thanks to your clear explanation and lucid illustration. Hope your channel activites flourish with fans like me. Thumbs up.
Thank you! I try my best to make things clear and understandable always trying to get better as well 👍 more to come
great vid , really informative , defintialy i will apply it in my games .
i would love if you can do a vid about reaciving short serves with only letting the balls fall on the racket with no swing.
Thats a great idea, so you mean letting the spin of the opponent do the work right?
Quality content as always. This channel needs more subs
hey thanks! yeah it will get there eventually right :)
Absolutely superb. First class.
Thank you, glad you think so!
Nice editing work! These are SO good!
Thank you glad you think so!
Great tutorial!!
Subscribed!!!
Thanks man! Appreciate it 👍👍
Thanks for sharing a great tutorial. 👍
Thank you! glad you think so :)
Thanks for sharing your knowledge
Of Course! Glad to share
Another amazing tutorial 🙌🏻
Thank you! Glad you found it useful!
Great insight. Thank you. Please can you also show in slow motion, adjustments done for different types of services?
That’s a great idea I’ll make sure to do that in a future video
Quite a comprehensive tutorial, and very detailed. Amazing work. Than you!
Please keep it up. It'd be nice if you could create some videos dedicated to physical training, such as, footwork, forehand and backhand acceleration. What are the techniques professionals use to improve their skills and physic. Thanks again!
That’s a great idea 💡 and thanks for the compliments
Very useful information, same thing with forehand topspin against backspin, advanced players hit the ball pointing foreward , I used to always point my racket upwards, and by using my wrist now and more speed I am able to hit the ball aiming foreward, it needs practice, but like you said with backhand flick against backspin I'd rather open up the angle of the racket to be on the safe side, thanks man
Yes, opening the angle can really be a game changer, glad this video could offer new ideas to help continue your progress
@@PechPongTT yes man it really helps, your content is different, you are sharing what made you a better player so we can follow your steps, I have a suggestion, if you can make a series of videos about( third ball attack) scenarios, each video contains explanation of one drill, then performed on table, these drill are based on your experience in real matches and matches of big tournaments, this will help us be ready and be able to predict some of the scenarios and win points, thanks in advance
Great video, with really good and important information, thank you blessings from Central america, Nicaragua.
Hi greetings from Ohio in the US, glad you liked it 😁
I improved a lot since I watched and followed your videos...
That’s great to hear! That’s why I make them!
Awesome presentation, Seth! Wow! Also liked your interview with Kanak Jha.
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it 👍
oh damn! This video exploded with the views! Nice one, surely you got a few new subscribers :)
Yes it really took off! Yes I got a handful more! More good stuff to come!!
Great video! Keep it up man!
Thanks will do!
Fantastic stuff, one of my biggest fears is flipping the ball, you pin pointed my error, which is to attack hard and fast with a closed bat, which fails 90% of the time meaning I simply just push these days, now I try to push short then long to try and get a weak shot to attack, not good enough really and ends up being a push to the death.
Great, I’ll try opening my bat, maybe my confidence will return to take the shot.
Thanks.
Glad you found it informative, hopefully your confidence returns and your flipping everything!! 👍
Great video as usual. I am watching your videos and maybe I just didn't see this yet but I wanted to get your views on grip switching when switching from forehand to backhand and vice versa. I have seen Sun Yingsha and many other high level players do this. Currently I play with fixed grip but I think my backhand suffers due to this.
Hey good question yeah I would say a small change in grip is not a bad thing you just have to get very good at switching from the two and also get used to hitting shots while being in the other grip backhand grip while hitting forehand because inevitably it will happen and you want to be able to put the ball in play and not lose the point. Hope that helps :)
That was very informative, thanks
Great to hear! No problem glad you liked it :)
Great quality stuff as always👍 One thing: Maybe you could have also talked about the recieving position. I recall you briefly mentioned this in a video already, for example flipping like zjk from in between the bh corner to the middle of the table or like harimoto more from the middle, so that you can flip also from the fh side. For me this makes a big difference how to reach out to the oppenents serves. Nevertheless, best regards from Germany:)
Hello and Thank you! Yes that’s a good topic that maybe I missed.
Excellent tutorial. Thanks
Glad you liked it!
very good content as usual, also that intro was so good!!
Thank you! Glad you liked it :)
It was a very useful video. Thanks.
Thank you im glad you found it informative!
After tilong I found your videos to be more detailed got yourself a subscriber
great explanations as usual
Thanks! I try my best!
It would be awesome if you did one for the forehand loop against underspin (3rd ball-type). Its so crucial but stuck around 1800 and I just can't figure out how to do it safely/consistently and what role elbow, body rotation, wrist, ball positioning all play. Theres a lot of vids online but none really get into the nitty gritty technique.
Got it yeah I am making a lot of notes for a forehand loop video Ill make sure to include the third ball underspin loop in there!
Great video. Thanks a lot!
of course!
As all your tutorials: absolut fantastic and brilliant explanation. Thanks a lot. Best table tennis channel ;-)
thank you very much! I am glad its understandable and I hope it levels up your game!
@@PechPongTT it does!
Great Tutorial bro keep the good work coming...
Thanks will do!
Pls do you have a video on forehand, how to do it correctly and to improved it? Thx for your video I learned a lot that’s why I asking you about forehand. May God bless you as always.
That’s a great video topic, I am working on putting together all the useful information and illustrations I have for it. 👍👍
Man, you're the best in this business 💯.. Unfortunately couldn't subscribe twice.. Keep it up bro 🏓💪🏻
Haha no worries one sub is good too :)
