    First off can we talk about your hair 🥰😍. It’s so healthy and silky! It’s always good to get those extra bonus points especially if you already have a good amount of travel plans. This was a very detailed video thanks for breaking down the annual fee and Apr.

      Thank you! I was surprised to see it that long considering it hasn't been straightened and trimmed in a long time. And yes it is always great to grab those extra bonus points!

    15 FREE nights is awesome. I love the perks of Marriott. I'm a member. I've used my free nights and it has been great. I typically wait until I go somewhere really nice.

    • @KitatheExplorer
      @KitatheExplorer  Před 2 lety

      15 Elite nights! So you get the benefits of an elite member but not free stays. But if you sign up for the credit card (depending on which one you get), you may get 1 or 3 free nights if you spend the right amount the card in a certain time frame. And you get one free stay after every anniversary.
      And I'm the same, I usually save my points/awards for important and fun trips!

      Thank you so much! I was definitely surprised to see how my hair looks straight. And I agree this is definitely a good card for a traveler!

  • @entrepreneurlifewithkasie5381

    I didn’t know credit cards had affiliate links, that’s a nice added bonus. I found a lot of people don’t know that most credit cards have insurance on them as well. Years ago we had an accident with our rental car (no fault of our own). Since we rented the car on our credit card, we were covered. Glad we checked into that ahead of time. Oh free nights are always good. Those foreign transaction fees can add up. I like that you tell who this is for and who it is not for. I switch hotels depending on prices and area.

    • @KitatheExplorer
      @KitatheExplorer  Před 2 lety

      Right!!! That is really to great to have coverage like that on your CC. It adds extra security. And you don’t have to worry about it. And I’m glad you liked the feature of me mentioning who this card for and not for.

  • @AprilNewlyMe
    @AprilNewlyMe Před 2 lety

    Firstly, that shirt is AMAZING and your heair looks AMAZING! It's so shinny! Omg 5 days a week workout, dang... I love it hahaha. Is it $95 USD? I only have one credit card and I hate the interest rates lmao.

    • @KitatheExplorer
      @KitatheExplorer  Před 2 lety

      Thank you so much!!! And lol yeah I have to work out as my job can be stressful plus I need to maintain my weight. And yes $95 USD. And yes I hate interest rates too. I try to make sure I pay off what I can in the month avoid too much interest.

  • @AdrianneGatson
    @AdrianneGatson Před 2 lety

    I didn’t realize you can use the Marriott CC pretty much on anything, I thought you can only use it for the Marriott hotel. I love that it gives you free stays. Did I hear you say free 15 nights stay just when signing up?? That sounds too good to be true. I’m gonna have to rewatch the video. I keep telling myself we need travel cc, I need to show this to my husband, he’ll benefit on this since he travels a lot for work now and staying in hotels for 2 months or so. So this seems like a really great option.

    • @KitatheExplorer
      @KitatheExplorer  Před 2 lety

      When you sign up you 15 free elite nights. So you get better options and treatment. So we shall see about that. I have a stay coming up soon. I will see if it is any different. And yes definitely share with your husband!

  • @TheFinancialSpotlight
    @TheFinancialSpotlight Před 2 lety

    That annual fee is high. I don't know if I will get this credit card because of that. However, those benefits might sway me to sign up lol

    • @KitatheExplorer
      @KitatheExplorer  Před 2 lety

      Yes I think it is high but then when I look at the benefit of getting a free stay after every anniversary, that already outweighs the fee. But I definitely wouldn't recommend this card if you don't travel much.

  • @Mrs.Homemakerrr
    @Mrs.Homemakerrr Před 2 lety

    The fact that you travel so much, this credit card is sure going to prove very beneficial to you and to all frequent travellers,who opt for it. Mariott do offer some great benefits.

    • @KitatheExplorer
      @KitatheExplorer  Před 2 lety

    This is a great card and you get to earn a lot of points fast. This video is packed with a lot of information. Access to the airport lounges is a a plus when traveling and I love the cards that offer access. Side note your hair is beautiful and the length. Shrinkage is a real thing

    • @KitatheExplorer
      @KitatheExplorer  Před 2 lety

      I’m glad you found this video informative. And yeah this card doesn’t have access to lounges. But my Delta Amex card does. And I absolutely love that benefit! And girl yes shrinkage is so real! I was surprised at how long it had gotten.

    • @KitatheExplorer

  • @budgetwithjenny
    @budgetwithjenny Před 2 lety

    Hi Kita! Love your hair! I wish I had the motivation to work out 5 times a week!!! Wow that is a lot of benefits for just $95 annual fee. The free stay on anniversary alone make it worth it. I don’t travel much so I just use BOA travel rewards and only get 1.5 points for every $1 spend but no annual fee. Have a wonderful rest of your week😊

    • @KitatheExplorer
      @KitatheExplorer  Před 2 lety +1

  • @reallifeinlucyskitchen

    To be honest ; I love anything that gives points while I use itike dischem and clicks. By just signing up marriott gives 3 free nights now this is a great deal. 6 points for every dollar spent; $95 a whole year fee isn't bad at all. So the more you use the less interest rate incurred wow. Thanks for sharing

    Since the APR varies do you know if the company will negotiate on a rate

    • @KitatheExplorer
      @KitatheExplorer  Před 2 lety

      It is always worth a try to negotiate the APR. But I can’t guarantee that they will as it’s on a case by case basis. And it may be easier if you are a customer with them for a while to try to negotiate after signing up. You may learn more here: www.investopedia.com/articles/pf/08/negotiate-credit-card-apr.asp.

    Question about the free night certificate. Once you sign up for the card, do you get a free night, and then another one 12 months or so later, or just one 12 monthsish after signup?

    • @KitatheExplorer
      @KitatheExplorer  Před 2 lety

      Nope, you won't get you first free night until you are a member for 12 months.

    • @KitatheExplorer
      @KitatheExplorer  Před 2 lety

      From what I have read, this card isn't available in Germany. But there may be something similar. You can try visiting local bank and credit card websites in Germany to see if there is something similar there for you.

  • @SavingMamasita
    @SavingMamasita Před 2 lety

    I feel like $95 is a great deal! I am always looking for cards with that low interest rate and rewards! I feel like it would be a good card since it gives points for every day purchases. The Amazon card is pretty heavy metal too!

    • @KitatheExplorer
      @KitatheExplorer  Před 2 lety +1

      Yes I agree! If you plan to use the benefit of the free stay, one night in a hotel will definitely exceed the $95. And that is one card I have stayed away from...Amazon...even though I help keep them profitable lol.

    Thank you for the review Kita! I've been considering this card because I'm about to make up for the two years I haven't been able to go anywhere 🤣. I've just started learning more about travel hacking and using rewards. I want the card but then I'm slightly hesitant because I don't need another credit card 🥴 #thestruggle. Loving the hair btw!

    • @KitatheExplorer
      @KitatheExplorer  Před 2 lety

      I'm glad you found this helpful. Yeah I hate getting additional credit cards but whenever I start considering one I decide what its going to be used for and what expenses will shift to it. So for this one I'm literally using it for just medical expenses. And thank you!
