Celebrating Pochury Yemshe Festival 2020 at Phokhungri village

- Yemshe Festival is celebrated by the Pochury Naga from 1st -5th October every year. The word 'YEMSHE' is derived from a combination of two local words, 'YEM' and 'SHE' . The word YEM means home or Grenary and SHE means perspiration or sweat. Thus , the word Yemshe means a festival which marks with pre celebrations thay soon or later the Home or the Grenary would be filled and heavily loaded with a huge collections of food grains resulting the Grenary heavy and warm to perspire.
It is a festival to show our happiness to see the new paddy in our fields; ready to be harvested.
