That is How My Niece Met Her Stepmother Thank You CZcams for suggesting this video. Brought back happy memories. My niece was four years old when my sister unfortunately passed away due to cancer. Even though she lived with her dad in a different city that was five hours away by bus, they continued to visit us during holidays and vacations. On one such visit when she was ten her dad left her with us early, and when it came time for her to return home unfortunately no one was available to accompany her. Me and her grandmother (my mom) made arrangements to have her sit next to a lady on her return journey as we felt it was safer compared to an unknown male and the bus company officials promised to get her safely to her dad. My niece fell asleep on the arms of her fellow passenger and that lady went on to become her Stepmom. At the bus stop her dad found her asleep on the arms of the lady sitting next to her who was unable to wake the child up despite soft efforts. My former brother-in-law thanked her and as he found the lady cute asked her number, who was at first hesitant. After he explained his widower status and that he was no creep or jerk they exchanged numbers. The rest, as they say was history. My niece has grown into a beautiful young woman now, who started university last year. Her dad and stepmom have given her two lovely brothers. We continue to stay in touch, but our meetings have become more infrequent now since I’ve moved abroad, and her grandparents (my parents) have passed away. I miss my sister and on every special occasion her absence is clearly felt, especially at my own wedding. I have at times felt jealous, sad and sometimes angry that my sister was replaced by another woman by her daughter and husband (guess that as a human I am bound to feel like that at times). But all my negative feelings are outweighed by my good feelings when I realized the love my niece has received and been blessed with. I guess my late sister will be delighted to know her daughter had a loving home and felt the joy of having siblings and is loved greatly by her dad, stepmother, and half-siblings. Sorry of the long comment, but this delightful video brought back memories I felt like sharing. May all receive the gift of love. God Bless

My niece was four years old when my sister unfortunately passed away due to cancer.
Even though she lived with her dad in a different city that was five hours away by bus, they continued to visit us during holidays and vacations. On one such visit when she was ten her dad left her with us early, and when it came time for her to return home unfortunately no one was available to accompany her. Me and her grandmother (my mom) made arrangements to have her sit next to a lady on her return journey as we felt it was safer compared to an unknown male and the bus company officials promised to get her safely to her dad. My niece fell asleep on the arms of her fellow passenger and that lady went on to become her Stepmom.
At the bus stop her dad found her asleep on the arms of the lady sitting next to her who was unable to wake the child up despite soft efforts. My former brother-in-law thanked her and as he found the lady cute asked her number, who was at first hesitant. After he explained his widower status and that he was no creep or jerk they exchanged numbers. The rest, as they say was history.
My niece has grown into a beautiful young woman now, who started university last year. Her dad and stepmom have given her two lovely brothers.
We continue to stay in touch, but our meetings have become more infrequent now since I’ve moved abroad, and her grandparents (my parents) have passed away.
I miss my sister and on every special occasion her absence is clearly felt, especially at my own wedding. I have at times felt jealous, sad and sometimes angry that my sister was replaced by another woman by her daughter and husband (guess that as a human I am bound to feel like that at times). But all my negative feelings are outweighed by my good feelings when I realized the love my niece has received and been blessed with. I guess my late sister will be delighted to know her daughter had a loving home and felt the joy of having siblings and is loved greatly by her dad, stepmother, and half-siblings.
Sorry of the long comment, but this delightful video brought back memories I felt like sharing. May all receive the gift of love. God Bless
