    I’ve been working on Fords since the XY Shakers & had most of them.
    These BA are not as much fun to work on though, as I’m on a pension now I have to do all the repairs & services on it.
    So once again for making it look easy & showing the whole process.

      Thanks for saying so Ian, I appreciate it 👍 I agree that these aren't as easy to work on as the old school Fords, but as far as the modern stuff goes, we have a lot to thank Ford... At least we don't have to remove intake manifolds to replace water pumps, or heads to chance $2 rubber seals - just ask the European guys... Anyways appreciate you watching!

    I had to unbolt the heater line that goes in to the back of the water pump and make the mounting hole bigger to make sure it went into water pump. When I put everthing normally the pipe out the back was too short by about 10 mm. Doing the above remedy solved that problem.

    Hi bloke. That bolt at the top right of the alternator bracket/bottom left of the water pump goes in through the timing case and you can get a mild oil leak from there. bloody hard to figure out where the leak is actually coming from when it happens because it's so hard to see directly onto that spot.

    • @Horus_Works

      Legend!! Thanks for the info mate, that's a good tip! How do you stop the leak - RTV?

      @@Horus_Works Yeah bud. A little around the inside of the bolts collar. I was put onto your video when I posted on Facebrick looking for a pulley removal kit other than Ford's expensive tool. I finally found that damned pissy little leak that's been annoying me for months. I thought it was from the timing case until I pulled the pump out yesterday, and found it's actually from that bolt hole.
      Great info and well described process in your vid lad... Cheers.🗯

    Hi mate, I'm attempting the water pump job on my Falcon, bought the toledo pulley removal kit and can't for the life of me get the water pump pulley off. It just won't budge. I don't know what the problem is as yours came off like butter

    • @Horus_Works
      @Horus_Works  Před 2 měsíci

      Bugger, just seeing this now... hoping you solved it mate. it's definitely just pressed on, so as long as you have a hold of the metal sleeve on the pulley with the puller tool, don't be afraid to use some force... Mine came off easily, but I'm assuming that if there's any corrosion around that metal ring it might take a bit of force to get it started. That's all the help I can offer mate, hope you got there... 👍

    Mix it with distilled water.
    Also you dont tap the hole, the bolt you had is supposed to be driven in as its a self tappeing bolt, thats what its designed to do.
