About Video:-
The world's largest wind turbine, whose power generation capacity is 16MW, can supply electricity to about 36000 normal sized homes. Its generator is placed at a height of 152 meters from the ground and the size of each of its blades is 123 meters and is the most interesting. Its rotor diameter is 260 meters.
Let us look at the design of the blade of the windmill. The blade of the windmill follows the airfoil mechanism, with the help of which the windmill keeps adjusting its blade when there is strong wind so that equal lift force is applied at every point of the blade.
The rotational power received from the blades of the windmill is not directly connected to the generator, before that the generator is made to rotate through a gearbox.
The gear box increases the speed of 10-20 rpm from the blade to 1000-1500 rpm.
Permanent magnet synchronous generator or doubly fed induction generator is used inside the wind turbine which generates high power.

It occurs in AC (alternating current) systems due to the presence of inductive and capacitive components, like motors, transformers, and capacitors.
Here's an easy way to understand it:
- **Active Power (Real Power)**: This is the power that actually performs work, like lighting a bulb or running a motor. It’s measured in watts (W).
- **Reactive Power**: This is the power that alternates between the source and the reactive components in the circuit. It does not perform any useful work but is necessary to maintain the voltage levels in the system. It’s measured in volt-amperes reactive (VAR).
You can think of reactive power like the foam on top of a beer: it's part of the total volume (apparent power), but not the part that quenches your thirst (active power). Reactive power helps in maintaining the voltage to deliver active power effectively.
