    Great info that anyone who is interested in solar power should have already researched. The one new thing that I found will be helpful is holding an object to the solar panel to properly align them with the sun. Thanks, and keep up the good work.

    I was able to get the max 220W from the bi-facial panel almost immediately after I tested in direct sunlight. I even did not spend much time to set up the correct angle. The weather offered some broken clouds. When clouds covered the sun the panel was getting between 70 and 90W. When clouds cleared it immediately hit the 220W. Backside was grass covered and I only used the white soft cushion panel that comes with the solar panels bag. I was able to test for only two days but so far I am satisfied with the results.

    My Ecoflow 400W folding panel is crazy efficient with my Delta Pro’s, I’ve had it at 364W laying flat on the patio roof, it’s better than my Renogy’s and they’re bloody good too. Neither have ever been cleaned by anything other than the weather but that does a good job here in the UK.

    You should explain that based on environmental conditions and geographic location, it may not be possible to get 100% rated power from any solar panel. Humidity, haze, high altitude cloud cover, smoke, all diminish the potential power output of a panel. Northern latitudes may never see 1000w/m2 even with ideal conditions and a perfect panel setup.

    Genuinely interested why my 425W Sunpower Maxeon 3 panel can give over 425W when other manufacturers such as yourselves often do not hit their stated numbers. Is it due to Sunpower using a more realistic number rather than the more standardised test number?

      Also if it's pinned at 110 ish, check to see if you have the correct side facing the sun. Easy mistake to make with this panel even with that notice printed on it.

    What could cause my Ecoflow 400 W panel to only generate 270 W under the following conditions: 1800 m above sea level, clear blue sky, end of July, 17 degrees Celsius, vertically oriented towards sun, shortly before noon? I used to get 400+ W output and fear there may be some sort of damage to the panel. Thanks!

      Hi, could you provide me with the serial number of your panels? Also, here is test you can try on your panels. You can try cover some parts of the panel to see if the solar input change. If no changes happen, it suggests that the covered part might have a problem. Let me know if this helps.

    What about temperature issues I went camping and the outside temp was 106*F the units are rated at 116*F and I could get my ecoflow river pro solar generator to charge with my 160watt ecoflow solar panels . I had a 12v fridge connected to the system for the weekend and it ruined the trip.

      @@EcoFlowTech The weekend of July 22 I was on a camping trip in Northern California temperature was 106*F high that weekend . I have a EcoFlow River and EcoFlow solar panels 160watt connected powering a Dometic 12v fridge with all our food for the trip 3 days , 2 nights. At 3pm every day the unit had 0watts coming into it until 7pm. I tried everything to get it charging again with no success until the evening and next day. Both the solar generator & panels are new , specs in your webpage state that they are rated at 117*F so I’m not sure why the units were going down.

      Hi! Sorry for my late reply, below are my suggestions:
      1. Upgrade the firmware. You can try to set on solar charging at your EcoFlow app--setting--DC mode.
      2. Try car charging your River. If car charging can work, it means the issue lies on the solar panel. If car charging fails, there might be something wrong with the River, you can reach out to our after-sales team for support. Here is the email👉support@ecoflow.com

      I found the same thing with the 220 panels, what i did after taking it out of the bag is use a small duffle type bag strap hook it to the 2 centre holes and it made it so much easier to move around then attach to the EcoFlow bag/stand....works for me and im 69 years young.

    *Question* ~ Will a Delta 2 accept an A/C input from a modified sine wave inverter, or must you use a pure sine wave inverter?

    • @EcoFlowTech
      @EcoFlowTech  Před rokem +1

      Hi there, it is recommended to use a pure sine wave inverter.

    • @royrobinson4636

      @@EcoFlowTech ~ I understand "recommended" A/C input, however, does your response confirm a modified sine wave inverter will not work to recharge a Delta 2?

    • @EcoFlowTech
      @EcoFlowTech  Před rokem +1

      Hi sorry for late reply! Theoretically and practically, modified sine wave can be used for AC charging. However, the AC power used to charge our battery is "not clean" which will affect our battery and the circuits. Therefore, it is not recommended to use modified sine wave inverter.

    You didn't say anything the average person doesn't already know. Aim the panel at 90 degrees to the sun. Keep moving it during the day. Whoopee. How about if you put out a video concerning heat degradation when the temperature is 100 degrees and the panel heats up to 130 plus degrees or more and reduces the panel's output to less than 50% of its rated power. How about some truthful advertising informing customers that part of the rating system is based upon ambient temperatures of 75 degrees or below.

  • @jasonbroom7147
    @jasonbroom7147 Před rokem

    I think most folks who buy solar panels figure out pretty quickly that you NEVER get the rated output from a panel. What I would like to see is truth in advertising. Instead of only listing the laboratory results, put a 2nd number on the panel, showing either the "typical" output, or a percentage of the rated capacity one should realistically expect. Will manufacturers do this? No, they'll continue to use the misleading system they currently have in place, in large part because of panel degradation over time. They don't want to be held accountable for delivering the rated capacity, or anything close to it.

    • @EcoFlowTech
      @EcoFlowTech  Před rokem

      I got your feeling. And that is also why we make this video to offer some advice on making the most of your panels. The "typical" output can be tricky to define given that our global users face varied situations. But still thank you for your suggestions.
