In this video, I will take you on a ship tour of the Holland America Nieuw Statendam on our cruise from Port Everglades, Fort Lauderdale, Florida in March 2023.
Happy to report, that the in ocean bar there was not only unlocked piano, but an actual dedicated ocean bar band. They started playing at about 8 PM as I was going into Rudi’s for dinner

Not sure if they actually “crashed” or if they haven’t worked in a very long time because they were blank for the entire cruise. Considering this gathering area (at the front of the vessel) was place for coffee and beverages to go along with your voyage, it certainly would have been nice to see these map screens in action. It didn’t appear to be locked, but it might as well have been, considering it wasn’t used once during the cruise.
