- For those who follow what we do at Pen Venture it meant a lot to find Gravitas writing instruments retailed through our platform, in our introduction video with Ben Walsh - the person in charge at Gravitas we hinted some of the things we both plan to do in the near future, that near future its here and now we are making it official !

Love your pens, Ben. Got 6 of them, but getting the last one, a Gravitas Kyuseido Kakari, was torture for me. Over 3 months with no communication and no delivery estimate. Now I understand why that happened. Glad you’re now teaming up with Emi. Your design and engineering talent combined with Pen Venture’s distribution and communication skillsets sounds like a match made in heaven. Best of luck to both of you guys!

We think our proposition for the community will be a win win scenario and every angle of this will bring at least a better result if not a great result. We picked the summer season because of the holidays season and it will mean that we are able to allocate more time to the transition and the process all together so like this we aim to have everything ready 8 to 10 weeks from around this time.

@@pen.venture May I ask you for some support. I bought a Twist rollerball from Ben in silver. Unfortunately the backend fell apart and Ben advised me to glue it in again. I made this but the pen wasn‘t working anymore. Ben was generous enough to send me a new pen which is highly appreciated but the replacement pen was black instead of silver. I asked him a couple of times for the possibility to buy a replacement part of that turning part at the backend, but never got an answer. You mentioned yesterday that you are planning repairs as well. Is there a chance to buy such a replacement from you? Kind regards Dirk
Yes Dirk , the new website will also feature parts and when that time comes you can buy spare parts with us

So glad I found this. Was about to send a final grumpy message without expecting a response but now it feels like there's hope - I am so excited at the prospect of getting my hands on a pen I've been looking forward to for months, and it sounds like if it does arrive and I love it, I can get more with confidence. Props to both of you, and as a disabled entrepreneur with a small start up who's had decades of mental health issues, big respect to Ben and solidarity. It's really hard juggling what you excel at and what you struggle at: a partnership like this is worth its weight in gold.
We appreciate any small bit of understanding and support towards what we are setting up to achieve with Gravitas and for Gravitas and the customers, there will be some things that we just cant cover or cant cover ourselves, but those will be taken care of Ben once we clear everything - he will be on just the problematic orders to make sure those will get covered and we take the new customers orders

I do not know if Ben is reading the comments, but Ben is a person who seems to reside both in Heaven and Hell. He has considerable talent, creativity and technical prowess to produce pens that are unlike anything in the market. However me and my friends have had mixed results dealing with him. I do not want to list out bad laundry but my initial comment of saying he resides both in heaven and hell is because he deserves praise and also receives condemnation from others. In this video, Ben seems contrite and remorseful. I think Emy will definitely be an asset in terms of distribution and also boost marketing with his videos. I suspect the prices of this pen will rise but it needs to be priced as such for the enterprise they plan to succeed. So Ben, please do your best and get us our pens. I think Ben has not even tapped the limits of his potential in terms of what he can produce. Ben please remember that we love your pens. Don’t forget that.
well he does read some comments - not sure if all or so since he left for Ireland as we uploaded this video :D Ben was really tired from all the travel and work we did that week and maybe the the video hits different because some ppl commented he was sad in the video :D actually he was happy for everything we could achieve and for the future he was very enthusiastic to start as soon as possible. Yes the pricing will be reflecting some of the new challenges of a multi person operation with its services and all of the things that derive from it but there is still a lot of writing instrument to get from him even after the prices will increase from what they are now. we've seen what Ben is developing ... stay tuned ... 2024 will be just the start of something awesome, what follows is very interesting

I think this is an excellent decision on Gravitas' part, but also an amazing opportunity for more people to experience Pen Venture customer service and to rectify any bad rap Gravitas has collected throughout the last few of years.
I think Gravitas pens are awesome, so I'm really happy to see Ben's pens get into more hands.

Ben is a great craftsman and Emy is a great dealer. I can say I tired both of them. I feel shame to say that but Emy knows how to fix a problem and how to handle an angry customer with true explanations, kindness and effort( I'm really sorry for that again I complained to much about a missing sleeve which Emy aims to protect my pen from scratching and send me better ones on my next order). For me the way materials used and pens designed shows me that Ben is a perfect designer who has great products and and after this video I understand again Ben is someone who likes to improve his products. This collaboration is an amazing new. Producing something and selling it needs different qualifications. Collaborating with Emy by far having a step backward. I'm pretty sure you are going to develop Gravitas Pens so much faster then you imagine. I'm really happy for both of you and good luck in your new journey.

Ben has some mad skills at just taking a thought or something that I say and just right away put it in a 3d drawing and make it like its ready to be produced in a matter of hours, this takes a lot of power juice and creativity - leaving less time for what its the backbone of its business, this is where we come with our team and start to build on it. The way we learn is by making mistakes, and it seems that has already been done. Now it sounds like a solution has been devised to correct those mistakes going forward. I have so desired a Gravitas pen, but have been put off from ordering that certain pen up until now. Now I can plan on making an acquisition in the near future.

:)) yeah.... its all fun and games until someone hits record - ben was a little camera shy, that is probably why I did again something that I can do all day... talk pens :)) but he will for sure be going to share more stuff maybe less tired next time, after all we did traveled like 1,5k kilometres in 6 days throughout the country to have some meetings and then to work out the system

This sounds amazing. I’ve been hesitant to order a gravitas pocket pen because I’ve heard the shipping is bad since I live in Texas . But this just definitely helped solved that issue. I will ask though can you please do a video on the Ultem pocket dropper being used as a dropper?

I ordered 2 pens almost 3 weeks ago....
The pens i ordered look amazing and I can't wait!
Its been shipped - dunno if the tracking is updating or working but the delay is like 2 weeks so anything 2 weeks behind the curent time is waiting ... back from those 2 weeks its been sent

Good move, Ben. There’s no business that can move pens quicker than PV. He’s got me 2 pens here in Australia in less than 7 days. I am not even sure how that’s possible.

We are retailers that consist of being a bridge in between companies like Leonardo and our community / clients. Pen Venture is a retailer store with experience and a field teste syste that now passes its knowledge and way of doing things to the Gravitas pen company in order to improve its operations 😃

The problems with Gravitas fulfilment were about to bring the company down, despite the truly brilliant and inspired designs! I know that from bitter personal experience.
Emy is brilliant at this role, so this is a great alliance.
And Ben, this shows good business maturity and a strength of character to admit to and address the weaknesses in the business you are building.

Yes - we’ve thought about all angles of this and what it would take in order to provide assistance and resource in order to step up the Gravitas operations, the only viable scenario would be to bring the furfilment for gravitas close to where it can be overlooked by us, Ben got to have a look at our system and we’ve both came to a point of conversion on how things should be operating forward. It’s just a matter of time and soon we will see the first definitive actions taking place and hopefully all that we work so hard to put together will go to make Gravitas clients pleased with our decision

Hi Emy, any thoughts of using some postal carriers in the future besides the DHL for us who don't mind a bit longer wait?
Also personally I'm just across the border in Serbia and DHL here charges 50euro through a 3rd party to handle the imports which makes ordering cost prohibitive in some cases for small to medium orders. I know it adds to the logistics but it doesn't hurt to just ask :)

hey there - long time to replay - the mayhem with Dutch Pen Show is over so now we can resume :D - yes we are exploring some options but its difficult to find something tacked and export in ok time and safe without loosing the parcels all the time. Probably in the future we will have something like this too
Ordered a pen at March 15th (Already 3 months passed), still no reply and the status is the same: "order is pending". Hope this cooperation will make things happen. Ben makes great pens, hope will get ordered pen. Wish prosperity to you both!

Well it’s a whole lot of orders and a single set of hands in need to pack them and the run the company - basically this is why we joined our efforts to solve such issues in the future
Congratulations on the partnership. In fact, the brand has a lot of quality but some of the worst after-sales service I know. Ben did well in accepting his weaknesses, but it is important to solve all the problems that customers saw in the company. Let's see what will happen

So please correct me if i'm wrong. So Ben designs his wonderful pens in Ireland, but they are manufactured by another company possibly in another country? And Gravitas Pens, once manufactured, will be sent to Romania where they will be shipped from to customers around the world?
I want Gravitas Pens to become a much bigger brand, and i really believe this partnership will help do that!
Thank you :D Yes pens are designed by Ben (tho he works and designs from world wide - last time we traveled together he designed a pen while on a train :)) - can we call it a pen designed in Romania? since we where traveling in Romania ) - pens are manufactured in parts where the capabilities of machining and the quality of work is presented at the best pricing, including with many of these parts being made in Ireland - then everything gets to be tested for its quality and properties in labs then if they pass the test - they are shipped in Ireland where everything is assembled / tested and shipped world wide. When we will have the partnership ready - from Ireland they will be sent to us to be sent to Gravitas customers :D

I ordered on gravitas and then found out about this.. I’ve now ordered on pen venture and my pen venture has shipped, still nothing on gravitas… I just want a refund. It’s a bit ridiculous.
Gravitas LLC is a different company than Pen Venture LLC - we handle our orders with items that we keep in stock and when it comes to 95% of the brands we retail, the items we have in stock and if we dont have them its marked sold out or if its coming on order only - its mentioned in the specifications (description) of the item - with delivery time in between 1-2 weeks

OK, so what happens to orders which were not fulfilled?
as stated in our video ben will fulfil each order placed on gravitas.com - at one point in the next period he will make the announcement that the website will no longer take new orders and will be on a pause while the existing pending orders will be fulfilled and shipped - from that moment we hope than in 1 to 2 weeks the website we have in works now will be switched to the gravitas.com domain and together with the stock shipped physically in Romania we will wait for Ben to join us and we go live, starting to take orders on the new website that will operat on the old domain with fulfilment from Romania under the supervision of our team
I hope Ben will fulfill his promise about pending orders !!!! Keep fingers crossed - I'm still waiting for month's for my order with a lot of not answered emails and questions. Have been VERY VERY disappointed by Ben Walsh .......

I love Gravitas pens. But the only I’ve received was from you Emil, and Pen Venture. The others pens and accessories I’ve ordered directly on the Gravitas website, because they was not available with the options I wanted, are still pending for now more than 3 months. #08288 and #08210. I’ve send so many emails I cannot count them, with no answer. Can you please confirm me Emil you are about to manage those 2 orders ? I don't care about the delay as long as I know I'll receive my order. Thank a lot to both of you.
Hey there - I cant manage any orders that came on the gravitas website, on the new website after I get the inventory delivered - I can manage but anything from the past will be handled by ben till the very last order and till everyone gets everything that they ordered. Soon ill have more on this
