Within the realm of football management, Pep Guardiola stands as one of the best to ever do it. Of the 3 most successful managers in football history - he’s the one that stands out.
Already achieving so much success at a much younger age than his contemporaries. Guardiola's unparalleled genius has redefined the sport, pushing its boundaries and on pace to be the most successful manager of all time. And in just a few days, might become the first manager to ever win the treble with 2 different clubs. SO let’s look at how Guardiola is cemented his status as one of the greatest managers in football history doing things others have never done.
#RaymarFootball #mancity #UCL - Sport
Pep Guardiola just became the first manager to ever win trebles with 2 clubs in Spain and England. Where do you rank him all time amongst managers?
2 or 3 behind SAF and maybe behind or ahead of Don Carlo, if he wins this champions league idk... 🤷♂️
1) Cruyff 2) Guardiola 3) Ferguson
1st
1 Cruyff. UNDEBATABLE.
2 Pep. Revolutionized English, German and Spanish football.
3 AF (I am NOT calling that salty, excuse-making twat Sir). Incredible results, UNDEBATABLE result-getter.
top 3
Pep did it! Treble with Man City! First time UCL in City’s history!
Messi and Ronaldo, Pep and Mourinho, I love how we live in a generation when we see such maestros breaking barriers and changing the game.
Half of it is over now 💔
@@llawliet2814 most of it 😢
Imagine thinking that Messi is comparable to Ronaldo and Guardiola is comparable to Mourinho 🤡 Real Madrid propaganda
@@mr._jgp Imagine not thinking that 😂
Also tbh Messi is above Ronaldo. No disrespect for Ronaldo btw
@@llawliet2814No disrespect to neither Ronaldo nor Mourinho, but it's not even close bro. Fictional 1 to 1 comparison made up by Real Madrid propaganda
Pep is one of the greatest coaches the game has ever seen, he’s completely transformed football to what it is today. There are very few accolades he’s missing but I’m sure he’ll retire with several UCL’s from different teams and it will be interesting to see if he ever decides to coach nationally
Except Real Madrid have more CLs with less spend than Pep at City. Klopp, Tuchel and Ancelloti all won it with their tactics sooner than Pep has had at City. Inherits a treble winning team at Bayern and they win the CL before and after Pep. Super great that is.
@@MrGts92 don't try bringing down a man because of envy. Appreciate him and what he has done for football
Don't praise but APPRECIATE
As a last standing acheivment/last challenge maybe, but I doubt he is gonna get the same results with national teams. I mean he is amazing at what he does, but his skillset arent a good fit for alot of national teams. Look at his first year at Man City. It really takes times and adjusting the team/get players to make his systems work, but on national teams you have to make do what u get. A trainer known to implement HIS system doesnt work for a job where the key skill is to build up and reform your system given the players currently avaiable to you.
@@MrGts92 but when pep go to city, madrid already have benzema, bale, ronaldo,
Madrid already stacked team
Just to let you know that Pep's success with Barcelona was also transpired to the national team the same period. At that time, Spain were dominating both Europe and World, winning the World Cup in 2010 and became the only country to ever won back-to-back Euros in 2008 and 2012. Most of Barca players were also a major part of La Furia Roja's success.
It has nothing to do with pep kid, only 10yr olds think that way because you weren't around or old enough to know about Spanish, German, France and Englands investment in development and youth, it had nothing to do with pep.
@@Liam_m7hater talk I see. This had a lot to do with Pep.
@@Liam_m7you know nothing about football, go play in the traffic
@@pras10_acoustician85 you're under 10yrs old wtf would you know about football? 🤡
That was e time Spain national team were mostly from Barcelona players...except Ramos n RM GK that time that were part of e national team!!We still rem how they dominated e world by winning 3 major trophies in a row!!
It really isn’t understandable how scary his Barcelona squad was, if you haven’t experienced it first hand … especially since half his squad would win the Euros twice and the World cup once during his tenure there…
The fact that Pep is still this young at his managerial peak suggests that he could genuinely become the manager GOAT when he retires.
yup he’s well on his way to getting 50+
No question. Especially if he goes on to win a World Cup
He, Mourinho, and SAF are my the goats in terms of managers. You could make cases for all three. Blessed to be able to see all three of them in my lifetime.
I have never seen such genius and tactical master ever. And he did all that without resorting to cheap taunts, insults or cheap gimmicks. His plays are masterful and beautiful to look at. Perfection.
he learned it from the smartest coach of all time. without Cruijff there would be no la masia.
Coming from a Man Utd fan Guardiola is really the goat of managers I mean the way he changed the game from a coaching stand point you gotta acknowledge that.... absolute greatness 🙌🏽🙌🏽

As a Liverpool supporter, I think Alex Ferguson and Guardiola are the greatest managers of all time. Both are legendary.
Peps is above though beating him in 2 finals
Money doesn't guarantee success. We saw it with Bartemou's Barcelona, Galactico Madrid, and even the recent Manchester United.
its how you make players play
When Pep was introduced to the fans in 2016 he said "I'm here to learn" Yes in that 1st. season he did learn but since then he has been teaching the rest of the Premier league. All credit to Johan Cruyff, Pep learnt from him.
pep definitely is the best, shaped messi, moulded iniesta, introduced busi, helped xavi to cup, made barca midfield, the trademark midfield of football, changed the game, and if cruyff is father of modern football, pep is now definitely new father, and has changed the game once again
the only one to win 2 treble with 2 different club !
Rooting for Pep and Man City! 🇨🇦
Then are you against football?
@@d3m1g0d4 Cry harder. Where were you when Chelsea won in 2012 huh? Clown
Talk all about his spendings , but his philosophies still require a lot of Hard work.
And yeah, he got himself the treble in style
If only he would've gone to United, then we might've won something. Maguire would literally play like a beast. Rashford would be way more consistent. And De Gea might actually save a goal.
Crazy how things turned out really
What are you on about? De gea saved everything for so many years. Still doing it.
de gea best shotstopper in the league lol,his distribution and a mistake every now and then is what makes him an average keeper to me but shotstopping wise? probably top 3 in the world
Rashford in the form of his life, De Gea is a club legend, and Maguire was the only one who panned out badly, unfortunately. You’re waffling
He'd never have signed Maguire haha
Uhhh Raymar, no one said he'd never win it. The consensus was (at least last season) was that his tinkering will always lead to his downfall. Something he's fixed this season. Not coming up with outrageous tactical shift before a big game.
Pep is the goat manager ever. U wanna say sir Alex but he schooled us twice in the champions league and peps team was light years ahead. 2008-2012 Barcelona is the greatest football I’ll ever see as well as the Spanish team during that time

@@EarthlingNo7 how Bayern winning the treble before pep change things? He won the bundes in record time. The excuse with Pep is that he always inherited big money teams. I didnt see Mourinho winning the CL with Real, Chelsea or United , i didn't see Ancelotti winning the CL with Bayern or PSG either...
@@g.d.m.1315 Sigh. Its called context. Pep took over immediately after Bayern won everything. Meaning, he took over the best team in the world.
Mourinho took over Chelsea when they weren't even the best team in england let alone the world. Same with united that had already declined.
The key point is overcoming odds which is something the other greats have shown that Pep hasn't. Like taking a struggling team and then making them achieve great things (ideally with limited resources) would be the true champion.

@@renatoamaral7719 in order for the sextuple he would need to win the carabao cup this season but he didn't so it won't count as THE sextuple
As a fan of football you have to admire the way he conducts his teams. It is an absolute masterclass which changed the way football is played and will be played forever. The only stick that I can point out is he always did it with star studded teams. He never tried to accomplish his success with good teams aspiring to be great. A good example would be Manchester United or let's say Juventus. In Barcelona he had an almost complete winning team. In Bayern he had a squad which won the treble a year before so in all fairness, he underachieved. Manchester City is the closest thing but it was packed with top players when he arrived and won the league in 2012 and 2014. In all fairness he is a top manager but I'm pretty sure there has been a few managers who could the same or even better with all the freedom he gets in transfer market.
Very good video thanks❤

Pep is one of the greatest managers of all time. Some people disrespect other manager's when they talk about him. Pep's Bayern should have won a Champions League. Other managers like Jose won the Champions League with Porto and are shocking fashion and with an old Inter Milan. I think Jose, Alex, and Cruyff are better, but Pep's Tiki-Taka was beautiful. Amazing video, Raymar. KEEP IT UP! Oh, how's Japan? 😂❤❤❤

Simply the Best to ever do it, his "loest point in the carreer" was as a german champion and future inglish champion
You can talk about money or trophies or whatever you want, the real true achievement of Pep Guardiola was the way is teams play (and still do), specially his Barcelona, if you are young and have no ideia about what im talking about please go watch his barcelona team, 2010-11 was the peak of football i have ever watched but every year was special, whatch games from all those years.
Barcelona play that style of football because of Johan Cruyff. He's the one that taught them that style of football with his Dream Team, he also set up the Barcelona youth system (La Masia) as a replica if the Ajax Youth System. Cruyff was playing tiki taka before there was even a name for the style of football, and Cruyff's youth system would find gems like Xavi, Iniesta and Messi. Much of Pep's genius is actually owed to Cruyff and Rinus Michels' Total Football system at Ajax.
i have been and continue to be a pep admirer. he is my favorite coach with greats like Ancelotti, Wenger, Bielsa in mind. But the true visionary was the great Johan Cruyff.
pep is one of the GOATs of managers. but he was never proven to bring success with a less committed owner and less quality squad, which he never will be bcs he's the best there is today n ofc won't go to a club that cannot meet his demands. but honestly tactical wise pep is the best coach ever. he should coach spain for 2026 WC
The Messi of management

Making premier league a farmer's league isn't everyone's cup of tea
When it comes to pep the only thing he needs to do to prove he's the best is win a champions league with a team like mourinhos Porto rather than winning it with the two best teams of all time
In terms of genuine entertaining football, he is the GOAT
He changed the Game, Period !
Pep is undoubtedly incredibly talented in managing star-studded squads, especially at the individual level, and his consistency and perfectionism have enabled him to keep winning titles season after season. Truly one of his kind.
Still, I'd wait until the end of his career to compare him to others. Back then, teams had less resources and were often limited to a handful of foreign players.
My main criticisms is that he tries to fix things that aren't broken and/or doesn't want to adapt to some situations. He replaced a reliable GK in Joe Hart and practically broke him, and his management of Mahrez is quite weird.
His failure at Bayern was due to the fact that he tried to change too many things, even shouting at Schweinsteiger for shooting and scoring from distance instead of passing. He seemed as though he was too afraid of taking risks and he only swore by his Barça tactics which were too different from the traditional Bayern approach.
I really hope that once his Man City tenure ends, he will challenge himself in a limited squad. If he manages this and learns from all his lessons (which I believe he can), then he'll be close to the top if not on the top of the all-time greats of a sport that, let's not forget, has been codified 160 years ago.
I also hope he'll begin to enjoy himself as a manager.
He always has stacked squads, Mourinho does more with less. imo he hasnt show enough as a manager to be in the top 5.
Mourinho, Ferguson, Ancelotti, klopp are ahead of him, and i'm sure there are many legends of the 20th century that have achieved more than him. He is definitely overrated.
