    He must have been a capable man, feuding aside, to have been so well rewarded by.the King, and to have survived him.

    Claire, Love hearing the bells very corny but here in the states we don't have anything like that. Enjoyed the lil cameos of the critters at home.

    Claire, it looks so pleasant where you are! Here, it is sunny, but still very cold. I am going outside to trim some branches from my lilac tree, which is growing over my neighbor's driveway. Henry Clifford sounds like a real bounder!

      daver8521 we’ve had some crazy weather here in New Jersey. I can’t wait until it calms down and is more stable. I take it when someone’s a bounder they’re not exactly the best person.😉

      The weather is rather mixed here so I take the opportunity to get out on the terrace and record when the sun is out.

      @Maryann, yes, bounder means dishonourable really, not a good person.

    I too wonder why he was imprisoned. He was lucky to survive it and be released.
    The Pilgrimage of Grace Rebellion always makes me sad as it was so brutal.
    Thank you as always for another fascinating video and I’ll be tuning in tomorrow!

    • @anneboleynfiles
      @anneboleynfiles  Pƙed 4 lety +3

      I don't mind but I do find it odd as when I watch a video that I don't like, I just move on, I don't make a point of disliking something unless it provokes a very strong feeling in me, like because it's racist or bigoted in some way.

    Why are they all called the same, thanks Claire

    • @anneboleynfiles
      @anneboleynfiles  Pƙed 4 lety +3

      Eldest sons were traditionally named after their father, and then it was also common to name children after the king and his consort, or after their godparents, so the same names keep going round and round.

      Is Tudor the same as Elizabethan? I have an affinity with these times. Love Hampton Court Palace. I spend hours there immersing myself in the paintings which I love but at the same time give me the creeps x
