Anybody just arriving here, READ: use needle nose pliers on one side of the adapter to "lift/peel" it from the wiper blade. Once one side is free, you're good and the entire adapter will come off without breaking. Dont try to force it off like the genius in this video.
This comment needs to be at the top. Makes it very easy, I was afraid of breaking the plastic. Just use the pliers or a flathead screwdriver to gently pull/pry up one side and it comes off very easy.
Definitely snapped a brand new wiper blade switching the adaptor.... Awesome

I wish this information came with the packaging, but I'm glad it's available.
The most convoluted adapter system ever created. Nothing about these "snap off." You have to force the adaptors off, almost as if you're going to break them. Whoever the brilliant mind at GM that came up with the design for the wiper arms for the Acadia/Enclave/Traverse and how they should attach, needs to go back to engineering school.

Same. Broke part of a ring off, too. Also a weird, mislabeled manual (the adapter piece for a 19mm receiver doesn't fit, however the 16mm does). This would work better with nothing pre-attached to the blade.

Yup broke one of my wiper blades. Such a stupid design, probably took them a few tries to get a video of them doing it without it breaking
These were very difficult to remove- but run some hot water over it for a bit and it’s a lot easier!

These don't work for the hook arms on my Subaru. I've used Icons before and didn't bother to check the fit until I got home and found this over-engineered mess was no longer compatible with my car.
My first to change my wipers and I thought I was just being dumb. Turns out not just me who broke the Bosch banana type, different compare to my stock wipers.
Yep, broke the first one when trying to remove the adapter. Pried the second one off with a screwdriver, that worked. Bad design though (and bad video that invites you to break the thing).
I just broke my new wiper blades trying to get the #2 adapter off, and I know I'm not the only one. Why sell wipers with adapters already attached if you make them so hard to remove?
Wish I'd read the comments first - taking off the default adapter broke off a piece of the mounting bracket. I see I'm not the only one.

I popped the adaptor off with a flat blade screwdriver, worked. Yes it's a terrible design and getting it off the way shown in the video is very difficult and probably leads to breakage.
I honestly thought i would break the adapter, but it works out just fine.
Struggled to take off the adapter following the instructions that came with the package. Just use a knife or something flat and lift one side of the adapter. It comes off pretty easily.
I’m having the same problem removing the #2 fitting to replace it with the #4. What is the solution?

After watching this video I realized I bought the wrong wiper. Would of been nice if you put that it doesn't work with hook installation on the package.
Followed instructions (0:07- 0:12) removing the pre installed adapter by pulling up on end with the arrow. When following the directions the plastic mounting bra ket affixed to the wiper broke on one side. $25 totally wasted.

The previous design was just fine - the problem with the new design is that the hinge point on the new adapter head is too tight of a fit with no relief grooves to allow them to pass through. You should find who engineered this part, bring the product to them and have them demonstrate how to PROPERLY remove it from the blade without breaking it on video. I’ve been less frustrated by poorly engineered components in things that are supposed to fly 30K ft off the ground.
I was lucky mine didn't break in the process, but sure was hard and got a minor injury in the process, surprise impact on the balls
The adapter piece doesn't come off quite as easily as it does in the video, probably due to creep in the plastic. These appear to be injected molded parts and I'm guessing Bosch didn't consider that this design might not come off the blade so easily after they've been captivated on there for x amount of time.

Plug in your vehicle info and it will tell you what wiper blade brands and sizes are compatible. You can check to make sure you have the correct size blades as that may be why you don't have the right adapter.
worst wiper blade I could have ever bought. It doesn’t snap off that easy. or go into your car that simple. you have to almost break the thing in half to get it to go.
Garbage, broke the circle piece on wiper from pulling the adapter off. I wonder how many of these Auto Zone has to exchange..
I got the 20oe and 24oe wipers and neither came with the J hook wiper arm adpters. What gives? Can't return them at this point.
So, I discovered a major issue: the wiper blades for Bosch in the charts are WRONG. I bought the ones the chart said are for my 2019 Chevy Traverse. WRONG. The attachment was wrong and none of the enclosed attachments work. I've been putting wiper blades on my vehicles for nearly 50 years. These Bosch blades were not the right blades - but I got exactly what Bosch charts told me to get. I took it to my mechanic shop - maybe they can do it. They could not, because the part is WRONG. They also said they always get the wrong part when they order from Bosch; because the parts the Bosch says are right .. are NOT - so they don't order Bosch wiper blades, no matter the make/model of vehicle. I ended up putting another brand on my Traverse. So, Bosch, you need to update your charts.
The passenger side OE Icon blades don’t fit flush coming to the end. Misses a chunk of glass on the return pass. Same length as OE blades.
Why don't these wipers come with all the adapters? Mine needs a 4 adapter, and didn't come with it. What's going on?

my adapter doesn't pop off. After failing to remove it from the video I read the comments and those who said uses a screwdriver to pry one side off that is how you can remove it.
Wtf I just had yank off the adapter luckily I didn't break it! These wipers are too expensive for this.
Absolute garbage! AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! Take them back before you try this and break them and your out $30 on a wiper blade. These do not snap off but break, happened 2x over trying. Bosch you can send me my money back. Horrible system. A bag of plastic parts to throw away and can't swap the right part over without going to CZcams and still breaking it. TRASH!!!!

If you pull the adapter up to remove like they showed in the video, you WILL break it. Get a butter knife or screwdriver to help you.

They forgot to mention you need to press the middle button, then only it will come off and make sure to keep it on a flat surface.
I used a flathead screw driver while squeezing the sides to the adapter and it came off without breaking. What a stupid design though..
how many adapters are in Bosch Icon 26OE and 21OE (purchased at Canadian Tire in Canada), I can not use pre-installed adapters (no2) on my 2021 Lexus RX 350, but I can install snow driver 26SD and 21SD with No3 adapter, but they're only Number 1,2 and 4 in the icon, no one is working.

Really disappointing. Broke one side taking off the adaptor following this video exactly as shown. For the other two, I used a flathead screwdriver to pry off one side.
Is this the "OE" Varriant, or the "A" Variant I have to ordeR?

I plugged in your vehicle info and found that the ICON 18OE fits your passenger side and the 24OE fits the driver side. Did you purchase blades with the "OE" at the end of the part number?
Swear to God, I'm following this video and can't get the bloody thing off.....took me only an hour to realize the video fails to mention the need to use pliers
This is such a frustrating adaptor. Just broke mine.

@@BoschAutoNA the problem was resolved at the retail level, product was replaced free of charge.
Not the same adapter that was on the old ones of our Cadillac SRX. They are hard as hell to get off if you are suppose to even be able to take them off.

Driver side - 24OE
Passenger side - 19OE

What harebrained engineer came up with this design? I know, I’m not going to go to your website to fill out one of your forms. How about changing the design or uploading a video of actual use to your customers.
Bosch gets an award for over-complicating this product, and should be banned from CZcams for posting this useless video.
