Love that KG & Showtime are pushing The Truth back in the scene.
KG talks so fast that some of what he says makes zero sense and he regularly makes up new words.
Why? Bro has to be up there with the least knowledgeable former pros we hear. It’s like he just says the first thing that pops into his head rather than put any thought into it whatsoever.
He’s actually a very good example of being a good player doesn’t necessarily mean you were a high basketball IQ guy.
He’s the flip side of the guy who thinks they’re an expert but never played. A guy who did play but still doesn’t seem to know much.

A living legend chopping game with another living legend. I saw Paul Pierce play in high school in Vegas during the summer time. I was a youngster but I saw that man put his team on his back. They where down 18 pts and couldn’t stop him. They ended up winning that game by 12. I also once saw Paul Pierce slap another former NBA player at UCLA in the mens gym also in the summer time during a pickup game because he wasn’t playing defense hard enough. He’s One of the greatest players I’ve ever seen in person play the game.
Talk to em! Paul Pierce is one of the most underappreciated basketball players to ever play the game. I watched him his whole career as a Celtic and 9 times out of 10 he was the best player on the floor no matter who he went up against

Duncan has no speed, vertical, dribbling, perimeter defense (1 of the main reason why USA lost gold medal when he was captain other than bad European footwork and fundamentals likewise his foul troubles unable to guard pick n roll euro FIBA style on switch) . He also doesnt have fadeaway, shimmy or dream shake in his arsenal. KG only lack of strength vs Duncan compare. And having center Dean Garret instead of GOD David The Admiral.

He’s an absolutely terrible analyst, it isn’t a matter of agreeing with him or not. Half of what he says is him straight up not even knowing what he’s saying.
He has the one of the lowest basketball IQs I’ve ever heard an all time great have. Shaq is similar, but at least he’s actually funny and has an interesting dynamic with Chuck.

He may have more points, but he was a worse shooter than Ray and was nowhere near the defender that KG was. He was never even top 5 in MVP votes, let alone actually going to win one. Ray Allen and KG both carried their franchise much better than Pierce ever did.
And you’re right, we just aren’t going to change our views on this which is fine. We’re talking about all time greats no matter what.
