Mingi has a way with words. I love this song. This stood out for me the first time I listened to the full album. Love Yunho's vocals. Mingi, I am thankful that you found your way back healthier and happier.
At the end of 2020, Mingi took some time off in order to get help with his anxiety. During that period, he started to write the lyrics but couldn’t finish them. Yunho helped him finish the lyrics and Mingi got input from the rest of the members too. He had a lot of different versions of singing the song. He really wanted to express what he was feeling 😢❤
l dunno why l saw this comment everywhere,but his anxiety hiatus was nov 2020 to aug 2021,2019 he took a rest only for his back pain issue
when they standing together in front of the burning house really tears me up, so much meaning to this song and the clip
Someone said that 'Youth' is a song of Mingi talks about his life during his hiatus, and how Yunho felt that time. They're true a soulmate.

Yunho mourning for his dead brother that died in a car accident in the lore is always so sad
some1 on twitter also mentioned that it can probably that mingi imagined yunho, while crying for help, because in the scene while they are running, at one moment yunho disappeared as well as in the mirror scene when we can see yunho in the mirror while mingi standing there alone. also, if you noticed at the very start yunho looking in the window of house watching himself and at the very end the house is burning, so basically he burned the depressed version of himself. also, about depression - mingi wrote this song when he was on hiatus, so another version is that its hard when people (in that case - yunho) is trying to help u with ur anxiety - and all you can do its just trying to fight your own problems because depression is not allow you to see people and their desire to help u. thank u very much for your analysis, i really enjoy how u share with us ur thoughts for every ateez comeback! ❤

Notice, too, that Yunho is very often looking at Mingi, but Mingi isn't looking at Yunho until the end. It's like he doesn't realize/acknowledge that on this whole journey, Yunho's been right there beside him, but when he takes a look in the mirror at first he thinks it's Yunho there with him, but it's really just him looking at himself (as part of the 8, with 7 mirrors looking back, because 8 makes 1 team) and being finally able to see himself reflected rather than needing/wanting it to be someone else with him. I think finding that comfort with oneself is part of the journey of life, and coming to terms with being alone (versus lonely) within a crowd is some of the things that the hiatus might have been about. At the end, burning down the insecurities and pain and fear in favor of being with the people we are most comfortable with is such a beautiful message. This song was my favorite unit song from the album. They did such a fantastic job with this music video and now I like the song even more, lol.
Youth is so tender, poingnant, and hauntingly beautiful in its lyrics, delivery, video, instrumental, everything about it. yunho and mingi did amazing 🥲 i can't help but feel at peace yet still longing when i listen to it.
It's literally my favourite song on the album and to date tbh. I could relate so much to the lyrics, and i gain so much comfort just listening to this song.
I don’t think the crazy form milk reference is referring to him quitting alcohol. I think that that was him saying that they don’t need alcohol to have a fun time they can just be themselves.
Yeah, that's how I originally took it in the initial Crazy Form video, but that comment about the alcohol stayed in my mind :)

I think the broken car and the guitar is his brothers from the lore because he died in a car accident and he did music. And if you noticed mingi remembers his moments with yunho when he uses his headphones because in the lore he used his headphones and music to escape reality

'Yunho's voice is just so beautiful... soulful.' had me hitting subscribe button. My Hottoek heart is so happy. Is why I've been waiting since debut for his studio-produced song cover.
I find it so telling that in a song written by Mingi during the hardest time of his life, about dealing with his demons and breaking down the walls that anxiety has put between him and the rest of the world... he decided to give Yunho center stage and the chance to shine. Yunho is the light in Mingi's life and what gave him the strength to kill his demons.
