All jokes aside, the fact this man makes these coffins by hand is pretty crazy.
Yes it made me think about how there still seems like actual accessible craftsmanship in africa. In most westen(ized) and Eastern countries where we are so used consumerism and factory brought, fast and cheap 'crafts', that the actual artisan arts become only accessible to the rich or those who can do it themselves(know someone).
But to be fair those are coffins and people pay a lot for coffins, but then again most coffins in the west even though they are/seem fine crafted, are mass productions.
However it might be misleading since he's a famous craftsmen and the artisans arts of woodworking and others are just as much in decline in Africa as everywhere else.

Yh, we often call it "Celebration of Life". So most of the event is geared towards celebrating the fact that we had the person's company and little time is spent mourning their death.

We are in the rainy season in Ghana mow and it is relatively chill so he can wear it. The southern sector of Ghana where he is can only record a maximum temperature of up to 33 degrees Celsius and the hottest part of the country has a maximum temperature of 36 degrees Celsius not even close to hot temperatures in the west during the summer.
Security First who said Africa was a country??? And yes, locals can wear warmer clothing because they are climatized. I'm from the Caribbean I know. But for a foreigner, it's funny as hell.
