We sadly lost him to complications from AIDS & the fashion industry has all but erased him from history. The first Marc Bouwer gown Whitney wore was her iconic white gown for OMIT at the ‘89 Grammy’s. He was on the come up and she loved him & would buy entire collections. He credits her for his career. He also did her wedding dress. Know your herstory, kids, and come correct. You are the lowest of the low for Blackfishing like that. Who does that?
Clive Davis may believe that he discovered and made Whitney Houston. Whitney was a success in her own right. She would have made it without Clive who did not own her. God owned Whitney and i believe that she returned to the Father before her death. She blessed us with her presence for a short time but her presence which will last for eternity. She will never be forgotten.
The purity of perfection....now there is no one left with her superlative gift: once in a lifetime.....and her expression and phrasing is off the charts....no one has that magnificent range.......
Her RANGE back then was ridiculous she literally could go as high as she wanted and she even I think interview said technically she can do what she wanted vocally back then. Great vocal control from top to bottom.
I will say I one hundred percent agree, but I know she'd tell you that she studied her "cousin" Dionne (because I believe that's her Mother in real time) Whitney was a Masterclass but you gotta give props to those who laid the foundation that she matured and grew from.

They should really release this live performance of He, I believe as a single and on CD and vinyl. I have been telling people about her performance of this song for years, after I witnessed her Great and moving performance. The song hearing it again by her incredible voice, brings tears of the spirit to my eyes.
