One of the hottest opening boss battle ever
I'm amused at everyone saying "yeah, this is good for being Singa"... I assure you, had literally anyone else made this exact same track other than Singa, people would have praised it to high heavens and back.
It's my personal favorite non-unique boss theme, yes. I am a fan of this soundtrack. Before CS IV was released, I used to listen to this soundtrack daily, because I enjoyed it so much.
However, I actually find that Singa makes a *lot* of good soundtrack. And if people don't like it... well, their loss. Singa's not my favorite composer (I don't have one), but whenever I hear a Singa soundtrack, I tend to get pumped up.
Mighty Urge (fight vs Gilbert) is another good example of an amazing Singa track that gets hate... because Singa made it.
I've learned to ignore them these days, honestly. People will feel how they feel about music no matter what, and it seems everyone's a critic for no good reason. I agree with you that they're missing out by not giving his work a proper chance, that's for sure. Music is music regardless of who's composed it, and Singa has done some wonderful work on both the Trails and Ys series.
It’s nice seeing people push back against the small minority of diehards that want to force their opinion on everyone else.
Bunch of clowns who can't separate artist from art. I personally don't care eho composed what and there's tracks from each composer that I don't care for, as well as tracks I absolutely love. That said, I'll continue to call him Kinga just to be contrarian to the haters lol
I like the song has the rhythm of Nageki no Refrain part

Honestly? Best boss battle theme in CSIV for me. It's the most peculiar one and with a very good pacing.
For Singa's standards it's the best boss theme that he composed in the game for sure

I know, I’ve heard about worse. Like that one guy who HATED the Geofront patch because the people on that Geofront cummunity Discord cyberbullied the guy just because he likes some of Singa’s songs, however inconsistent they may be.
@@mystery8820 he's inconsistent, but once he got something so right, like the Iclucian Dance and Step Ahead. In my opinion, it can be one of the top tier tracks of the album.

I don't mind some of his guitar stuff either (I actually like boss theme 1), it's just his EDM stuff that seems to be consistently bad.

@@huaxiong1990 True, but Falcom JDK is known for being consistently good. His guitar is an inconsistency, and his edm is consistently bad. But I believe he can do it if he actually let's someone else handle the guitar and EDM, because violin and piano is his forte (Endure Grief is a great example). When he does that his compositions become Falcom worthy. Perhaps Cold Steel was bad timing for him considering 1 and 2 were more rock style than something like Crossbell and Liberl and so he had to keep up the game. I wouldn't have minded if the soundtracks had a bit more acoustics in them though especially if they were using Singa more.
As for this track specifically, I find that the background instruments are too noisy, but the main melody with the violin is pretty good, and Singa used the motif rather well.
@@McCaroni_Sup Nah his guitar tracks are sick too. The problem is the samples he uses at times don't fit. Or if not sample, then whoever's playing has the wrong tone
One of Singa's soundtrack that I can accept, well.. tbh, it's reaally good, the best battle theme in CS IV even. Also, fitting for Roselia in any way.

This is an OK song but not a theme that I personally would've chosen for a boss battle
This only plays with roselia,this fits her perfectly.

It's the theme of a witch/trickster basically.
When you do fight her you'll notice some interesting twists the battle has.
It fits vita as well
