    Your videos have convinced me to pick up CC Levia (opening the Marvel Demi-Hero didn't hurt either), she's an absolute blast to play! Feels like trying to race on a motorcycle with a broken axle in the best possible way, and guides like these have been invaluable resources to learn how to steer without eating pavement. Only problem is, as much as my head knows that claws are the way, my heart can't let go of Hell Hammer + Hooves. Thank you for keeping the faith in our queen!

    Started the game with Lexi and almost left FaB completely. Picked up Levia on a whim and sold off my entire MtG collection to go all in on FaB. Brutes play a lot like Giants from my favorite set Kaldheim. Kayo and Calamity Bearer are the same card with more gambling. Hoping to learn a lot from your videos!

      Thank you! There are only a few heroes I would dare even attempt... I know other content creators have done similar intro stuff, but you're right in that there's only a few deep dives. I would recommend Savage Lands News for Rhinar, Pheano for Dromai, and TCG Talk for Katsu to get started! Otherwise the content creator tab on Fabrary might help: fabrary.net/welcome-to-flesh-and-blood?tab=creators

    Nice video! Really enjoyed it.
    You said there is no auto loss for levia at the moment. I feel like that is true except of the Kano mu. I feel like that’s a 10/90. Would love to hear any tips with that mu.

    • @ManSantFaB
      @ManSantFaB  Před 11 měsíci +2

      Blah, Kano. Yeah, Kano is a deck building check- inherently it's not an auto loss, but the deeper you go into the GY banishers, the worse the matchups gets since you can't block to fill. If you really want to tech, the new Darkness equips basically act as Spellvoid 2 and can help a ton surviving the combo as well.

    Great informative video!

  • @phamdinhhoang1998
    @phamdinhhoang1998 Před 11 měsíci

    The new C/R that requires to banish from hand is weird and not reaching the curve for sure, but there will be a door for cards that only require "if you have banished, you have something bonus" like "Wall Breaker". it will be a nice combo card or an early play that will not punish you to go banish too soon, nor require GY to start returning dmg. It's a bit weird, and might required much more playtest and tweak to actually get a hang on it

    • @ManSantFaB
      @ManSantFaB  Před 11 měsíci +2

      I forgot to add the Wall Breaker comparison, but look at it like Predatory Assault, a card with nothing going for it solo, but the added text if you got to keep a larger hand and yet is still never played in Rhinar. These kind of cards are better in a flex spot like a Yellow Riled up would be. To sacrifice Red slots for situational cards is where the deck building inconsistencies can still bite you. As an early play, it's the same rate as just swinging a Claw (1 card for 3, 2 cards for 6), so I don't even see it's upside there pre-BD.

    I picked up levia just before DTD was announced so just now getting to play with the new stuff.
    I'm a bit confused with the recursion package, is there a prior video explaining this? :)

    Had a question for you and the team. These 250 games were against random Talishar players or legitimate in house testing or very competitive queues only? Cause the sample size becomes a bit irrelevant IMO if people have no idea how the matchup goes or are testing heroes more than playing a hero with a gameplan. I feel like any pile can have 70% on Talishar on a big sample size if you are a good pilot (and IMO you are best Levia in the world and very good at FaB itself). What are your thoughts on this?

    • @ManSantFaB
      @ManSantFaB  Před 11 měsíci +2

      It was a mix of Talishar games and in house testing, about 200 random and 50 with Runaways if I had to guess. The in house games were consistent with the 70% wr if not better, but we actively try to not only test on house because of inbred testing problems. The Nats field is a heap of random players, to only play into practiced players into the MU is actually a bit of a misdirection. As it panned out anyways, none of my opponents at Nats played the MU as we decided was the best in house.
      Any pile cannot pick up a 70% on 250 games, that's the point of grinding a large sample. Even a good pilot is going to suffer from the reality of a bad deck and especially be able to call it as such after so many games. The in house rule is any list that can maintain 70% wr past 100 games is realistic into an open field, but remember, that really is a lot... Most people are going to play 10, go 7-3 and think they've cracked something.

    • @phamdinhhoang1998
      @phamdinhhoang1998 Před 11 měsíci

      there will be a chance you have a queue of games in Nat (or other big event) like in Talishar, where there be bad people, unlucky people, and people having no idea about Levia. so 250 matches is a good enough sample size to represent the result I could say, mimic the reallity.

    Such good video, much wow ❤ Great job on the video and breakdown. She is a very hot and cold hero. When she's running hot, she is smoking. On the other hand she straight up just loses some games that she has no business losing due to variance. Either way she is soooo much fun to play 🥰🤣

    • @ManSantFaB
      @ManSantFaB  Před 11 měsíci

      James White said in his most recent interview that after Iyslander and Lexi LL, the game's power level will obv dip but also stay lower by design. We can see that at play here- the copy paste Rhinar/Levia cards are just bad, but that comment was made in regards to the Ms. These are powerful cards, but not obviously better than what we are used to. It's up to the players to find the slot and play pattern and not just accept a pile of stats that's easy to execute. We have our obvious upgrade with the Demi, and I enjoy the work of figuring out the rest.

    • @LordAlbrecht
      @LordAlbrecht Před 11 měsíci

      Yeah fair enough for the M's, I just find the unplayable bulk annoying.
      We aren't Rhinar, we don't get a strict advantage from banishing like Rhinar does when he discards. Any of those cards could've been bumped up by 1-2 power and they still wouldn't be good, but at least they could be mildly playable.

    How bad is Warmongers againt Levia?

    • @ManSantFaB
      @ManSantFaB  Před 4 měsíci

      It's good if the Levia has chosen no blocks on a 4-5 card hand (basically only Ninjas can test a hand like this). Then it's 50/50 to be a Bloodrush (otherwise AoW). If all you do is take a turn off to Warmongers, it's likely ineffective.

  • @RolyGuacamole
    @RolyGuacamole Před 11 měsíci

    All jokes aside. These cards that are commons etc seem pretty slow and punishing towards Levia decks. Do you suggest building mostly from pre DTD? And then get redeemed and consumed and some of the gear from DTD only?

    • @RolyGuacamole
      @RolyGuacamole Před 11 měsíci

      Also. Maybe it’s impossible. But would it be dumb to build a deck that avoids mostly blood debt?

    • @ManSantFaB
      @ManSantFaB  Před 11 měsíci +1

      The new C/Rs are very strange for sure. They take away the strength of above rate plays at the cost of banishing by just having the from hand cost that makes them now bad rate plays. I have found some success with Yellow Tribute to the Legions of Doom as a filler Yellow and Ram Raider as a 1-2 of. Bad rates, sure, but you can also ignore the GY cost to save yourself from a stuck position.
      Building with mostly Pre-DtD with some experimentation with new Ms/Equip seems to be the most successful.
      There were successful now blood debt builds in the past, but it was a meta counter to Starvo and Chane, not really a strategy that played into any of Levia's strengths. Have a look at this more recent light blood debt build for the most recent build like that: czcams.com/video/ulshGIdMt7I/video.html&ab_channel=ManSant

      For sure, but your life will be much harder. Check out my game on stream at Portland this weekend for example. Didn't even use Husk. However, even if you don't use it, it's a lot of pressure for your opponent to consider when to push past it, or try to force that 13dmg breakpoint on small attacks. Missing 6 life also makes it a lot harder to control flipping to Blasmophet, Levia Consumed.
