Speaking from personal experience working in a secondary school with a lot of Muslim kids until I retired 2 years ago, I can tell you that the vast majority of Muslims are lovely people. Some people will look at this man and think every Muslim is like this. It's their loss. They could really get to know some fantastic people. I’ve always found saying “Who do you think you’re talking to like that?” works very well. The key is to double their volume when you say it. You want it loud enough that everyone in the neighborhood can hear you. The volume of your voice shuts 95% of people like that down. The other 5% takes a little face to face arguing.

I sent them for a tea break so I could speak to the person. They do not like it when you call them out for what they are and hate a person to person eye contact situation. I admit I was pretty angry and put my points across in an obviously forwardsome way to this person but they never tried to do it to me again after that. People really do not get the supremacy inherent in Islam , if you read the Pact of Umar you understand being a non-Muslim under Muslim control is kind of comparable to the treatment of Jews leading up to WWII in Germany. So you were more in the wrong here than he was. Looks amazing, Impressed how well it turned out with just hot water, you handled the neighbour well pal, I'm a strong believer in treating people how they treat you, if he'd had come out and explained his concerns in a respectful Manor I bet you would have offered to tidy up any mess. I bet he goes into melt down every time it rains, water on the windows 😱

Some people have never just jammed out to some great music and done a job like this where it's only the job and what's going on in your head. Therapeutic in a lot of ways

For something near the street like those finials maybe if you were able to devise some kind of tent or shield to catch some of the overspray and control how far it goes that would make it more manageable.
Also, living in England and getting upset at things getting wet...

That's what I was thinking, too. The scaffolding with tarping would be too much but maybe modified tent , like you said, or carport cover on it's side?

Just a spray of d2 from a hand held sprayer and it would clean itself. Time efficient, less trouble, and way less damaging.
