  • The amount of water that was in the big lake flowing to little Lake is insane. Can anybody can calculate how much water is flowing through that pipe if you can it wouldd be kind of cool to know. The beavers keep blocking up the big lake drainpipe going to the little lake.

If you expect everyone to be like post 10 then maybe you should stick to watching post 10 videos instead of comparing everyone else to him. Some people like to do things their way even if it’s not good enough for you.

That really is alot of water. Can't believe thus little dams hold back so much water. Beavers should join engineering company that builds dams. Got to be cheaper. Enjoyed video very much.

What a good job, well done, not easy once the blockage is breached and you have to keep clearing the debris against the force of the water. Such a lot of debris. Thanks for posting.

Peak outflow rate is about 150GPM based on single 20' culvert run. Every foot over 20' adds resistance of .05 on corrugated culvert. An enclosure can be easily constructed from sheep panel to prevent obstruction clogs. 1 panel would cover that opening.

hopefully i am doing this math right. somebody out there knows exactly how to calculate that stuff. it will not be exact for your application, but prinsco (a drainage pipe company) has a calculator on their website under the agricultural tab that will give you a rough idea what is maximum that can go through that pipe. you will need to know inside pipe diameter, slope pipe is installed at, pipe type (double wall or single wall) and percentage that pipe is full. 12 inch pipe single wall (corrugated inside) on a .25 slope can move up to 32 acre inches per day - if you were filling a 1 acre square bucket, it would be 32 inches deep after 24 hours. A 24 inch pipe on a 5.00 slope can move up to 784 acre inches per day. That would put the 1 acre square bucket at about 65 feet deep.
