Unlike the 1977 live action one, where he gets duped by frollo into leaving her in the "protection " of the church. He says sorry but he still did , leave her even when she begged him to stay with her because he was scared for his own life.
We of course have the classic lines that everybody loves, but my personal favourite moment is at 28:40 where the only two voice actors are trying to voice an entire crowd in one take. We even have one of them (I think it's Ludwig Ickert) changing voice randomly at one point to give the illusion of more people, before realising it isn't working and stumbling back into the other voice. I love it so much.
I don't think it is Ludwig Ickert. As far as I can tell: the English dubs are done by one British voice actor and one American voice actress whose names are unknown but are surely not the native German ones.

ok this is amazingly bad, but did anyone notice how the background characters cant decide on which era theyre from like you'll have Quasimodo in a medieval tunic and next second there's an elderly british lady dressed in fashion from like the 1950s
Also at 39:50, the guy on the right is supposed to be a caricature of Helmut Kohl, the chancellor of Germany when this was made. He's even wearing a t-shirt saying "Hannelore," which was the name of Kohl's wife.

This is my favorite of the Dingo Pictures, mainly since the original novel had so many dark & grim elements that they actually use here. Their others are just cheesy, but this feels a lot more twisted.
