Seeing Lars in the Nothing Else Matters video was the first image I can remember where I said to myself “I want to do that. That’s going to be my thing.” I’ve been playing drums ever since.
Best drum sound ever..certainly of any rock/metal album I can recall. Easily. Best combo of weight, low end, punch, Crystal high end..the mix is superb. Gretsch kit, tama bell brass snare, early 80's Sabian hats, zildjian crashes/chinas. Fucking awesome combo of sounds
All cymbals got diffrent sound, im sure they tryed out a few cymbals. and just cuz he is endorsed dosent mean he is force to play Zildjian or Tama, he even used Yamaha drums on st. anger with Sabia cymbals.

u know things change but i personally think that rappers are not artists i mean their music is created by their sound engineers and all they do is babble around dissin each other.Bands like metallica are the real artists as they create music

metallica spent over 8 months in the studio recording and writing the black album. that's longer then all the time combined with the 4 albums before. this was their worst album to date. one good song. a couple ok songs and the rest crap. the simplified the music to get more radio play and pander to idiots with short attention spans. then after this album they get rick and release a crap album every 6 or 7 years. SELL OUTS!
I assumed Chaos AD by Sepultura was also for radio play. You know after doing all thoses crazy shit up to certain point if a band wants to do something else , variate. Why it would necessary beign for radio play ?

I hear footage exists, however, it is buried beneath so much cocaine that the footage is unable to be dug up.
Lars told the producer to hide the footage so that only one person could find it... and then hide it a little more after that.
