Lots! Erik takes us on a quick tour of our local AMAZING Celtic festival - Celtic Classic in Bethlehem Pennsylvania.

Celtic festivals, including Highland Games events, celebrate Celtic culture in all its many wonderful aspects -- dance, Celtic music, food, Celtic art, Highland athletics, story telling, demos of sheep herding, parades, bagpipes, etc. etc.
Some, like the Dublin Irish Festival in Dublin OH, are more Irish in focus, centered around music. Other events such as the Grandfather Mountain Highland Games are certainly focused on Scotland's culture.
But many larger events will cater to all of the various forms of Celtic heritage including Ireland, Wales, Scotland, Galicia, Cornwall and so on. And this is why we feel so lucky to have one such Celtic fest, The Celtic Classic, in our own backyard!

As someone that goes to tons of Celtic festivals, this might be my favorite. See ya in 2023! (Also, glad I was wearing a clean shirt and my USA Kilt!)

Freaking same! Everything in Cali is closed. Even Tartan Day at the Alameda County Fairgrounds is cancelled this year :(

I attended Celtic Classic for years, when I lived in Bethlehem. Unfortunately I haven't been able to attend much since moving out of the area, although I have gotten there a few times. When I do, I'm wearing my Ferguson tartan kilt from USA Kilts.
I really wish I lived in PA. This looks like a tonne of fun.

I saw that Gyros and German sausage were being sold there. I really like how this festival welcomes all the countries it looked very inclusive, friendly and would love to go sometime.
I Miss years previous. We have a great Celtic Festival in Tucson, sadly postponed this year. Maybe next year all goes well.
Not been to any of those festivals so i can't comment as to which is the best.The closest we have to that in ireland is the Fleadhanna which are traditional irish music festivals and the oireachtas which is more about the irish language.The all ireland fleadh is huge and has been held in my counties town several times.It takes place over a week and now attracts 500 000 visitors to host town , its a great event unfortunately it was cancelled this year.Not too many highland games meets but again there was one scheduled for killarney that had to be cancelled
