The History of Pandemics

Epidemics are not new phenomena, they have existed for millennia. What is new is that, throughout history, they became more frequent, especially due to globalization.
Therefore, we have to learn to deal with epidemics and pandemics in ever safer and efficient ways, investing and trusting in science, adopting care and prevention behaviours and building a compassionate world in which no one can be left behind.
The first registered pandemic happened in 3000 BC. Since then, this invisible enemy has spread faster and farther, turning epidemics into pandemics. Some of them, due to their intensity, became history.
Professor Teresa Rodrigues (UNL) guides us through these historical moments in the brief "History of Pandemics".

PARABENS PELO DECUMENTARIO . UMA COISA E' CERTA UM FACTOR COMUM ANTES DAS PANDEMIAS HA SEMPRE GRANDE MOVIMENTAÇAO DAS MASSAS HUMANAS, E ISSO E' VERDADE SE NAO FOSSE O TURISMO O CORONA NAO TERIA HIZESTIDO
