    This is the final episode of our Northern Territory adventure... and it's a beauty!
    Perched in the northwest corner of the Territory and only 3km from the WA border is Keep River National park.
    Touted as the mini-Bungles we were treated to exceptional scenery, fantastic walks, brilliant bush-camping and.... a flat battery.
    Left stranded in this beautiful area of northern Australia wasn't so bad but we had no phone service and noone in the campground was able to get us going. This meant a hike to get to higher ground to try and get a call out to roadside assistance.
    No amount of car trouble could take away from how incredible this place was. Join us this week as we show you around the park and the stunning walks and lookouts. They're some of the best in the country!

    wooooaaaa...... The "little man" comment threw me a little ! 😵‍💫 😂 .... Keep River NP...... Lee and I ended up there on our way to Darwin a few years back. We also didn't know anything about it but stayed for two nights ( could have stayed much longer of course ). The way you both described it says it all although I would have added "prehistoric". Thanks so much for sharing an excellent vid !

    Another fantastic episode. I can't tell you how much enjoyment that I get from traveling with you. I look forward to each episode that you share. I love your down to earth attitude that you give. I hope the troubles with the Ranger can be sorted as I'm sure that would cause some anxiety. Already waiting for next week's episode. Till then safe travels. Jerome

    Another great ep guys, thanks. Bought back memories of our car troubles through the NT 30 years ago…… car wouldn’t start whenever we were remote, started every time we were in a town. We got from Adelaide to Darwin and back down to Alice before we finally sorted it. Hope your car troubles ended at this point. Guess we’ll find out in the coming weeks. Love ya work !

    Thank you for another great episode showing us the NP. Had to skip Keep River NP when we were in the area as our alternator seized up near Timber Creek on our way to WA. But we did get to spend a few more days at Lake Argyle while we waited for parts to arrive in Kununurra.

    Excellent video, our ranger did the same out in Byfield NP we had to get the neighbour to keep the jumper leads on for about half an hour before it would start, very frustrating as it will do it randomly. Have read about the disconnect and reconnect to reset, yet battery will hold 14.7 volts normally. Bloody electronics.

    • @TheLifestylePioneers
      @TheLifestylePioneers  Před 2 lety +1

      Unfortunately it's something we have to get used to with modern vehicles I think.

  • @alanzammit750
    @alanzammit750 Před 2 lety

    We have had the same thing happen with our 2017 ranger, tried jump starting, new battery, had racv out and even they couldn’t get it started with the huge jump starting set up. Then the racv guy phone in to head office. Was told from head office to do some procedure which included pressing the throttle I think half way with the brake applied to override the problem. And it started
    Apparently once the car sensors a extreme low voltage it goes into a safe mode, would turn over but not start 🤷🏼

    • @TheLifestylePioneers
      @TheLifestylePioneers  Před 2 lety +1

      We've heard of it happening to a few people but thankfully it doesn't seem that common. Touch wood we've had no problems since!

    Another excellent video. Think there is a good lesson here for all. My battery is a couple of years old so I will throw in a new one before my next trip just to be sure. Drove past Keep River NP on our last big lap. After seeing your video will definitely spend a few days there next time we are up that way.

  • @coversadventurecapers2838

    Thanks for sharing this beautiful place. It’s on the list. It reminded me of Arnhem Land near Kakadu. I hope the gremlins are sorted for your car and you haven’t had any more issues. East macs is our fav area too in the NT along with Litchfield. Favourite camp would be The free camp near Kings Canyon up on the jump up on the loop rd back to West macs.

    Hi guys love the videos around Australia just quick question do you get much drag on the caravan without a canopy on the Ute.

    • @TheLifestylePioneers
      @TheLifestylePioneers  Před 2 lety

      Thanks Peter. I wouldn't know if it makes much difference, we've never had a canopy on. I'd be suprised if the difference would be noticeable.

    • @peterholmes7060
      @peterholmes7060 Před 2 lety

      I just thought that with the air flow coming around the back of the Ute it would use more diesel, I just asked you because your pretty good with all that information, I don't have a canopy on my ranger either.

    Great video guys heading there next month! What year ranger? My tip is it was faulty AC Actuators draining battery overnight, can be silently running or sometimes you hear a scratching like noise behind the dash! Did you ever find the problem?

    • @TheLifestylePioneers
      @TheLifestylePioneers  Před rokem

      Thanks for the info! Ours is a 2017. We're pretty sure it was the caravan electrical system back-drawing through the anderson plug

    Hi, maybe it is just me as no one has mentioned it but the last 3 episodes seem a litle darker on my screen than your others. Have you changed video settings? Content great & by no means a complaint, just an observation.

      Thanks Richard. We've been playing around with a few different editing techniques. Do you find it too dark? It can be tricky as it will show differently on different devices.
