It's not just any Geo Prizm, it's the Prizm LSi the very top trim level! Man, they rolled out the red door mat and gave you a 12 oz soda can of your choice if you walked into the Geo dealer to buy one of those back in the day. Impala is one of about 4,000 made, I believe you can press the trip reset button thing and it will flash the mileage up. My 02 Impala LS does that.
He needs the key.
@@bartmix8994 pressing trip will get the odo to light up without the key, as long as there's a good battery in it
Best car I ever owned. $16,000 car in 1994, and it outlasted my neighbor's $60,000 BMW X5 and his wife's POS Saab 9/5. Donated it with nealrly a quarter million miles running like new.
That Galant had a HARD life.

The Prizm was actually a Toyota Corolla much like the Matrix/Pontiac Vibe partnership. Probably why it still starts and runs.
I brought 1998 Prizm with 33K original mileage in 2007 for 2.4K in good condition when I was in CA for my temp job. I can not effort Corolla. Same engine and low maintiance, I love it and I had my friends fixed and maintiance it with used junk parts. It was a nice quality used car for low price to keep and operate. I sold it for 2K in 2017 in CT when it has 130K miles in CT and I had no trouble finding buyer.
@@johnmadow5331 That's awesome. A lot of well-made cars came out of that NUMMI plant in Fremont, CA before it went to Tesla. I still have my '06 Vibe and it runs great!

Agreed. I actually loved those ones. They were the some of the Taxis in Toronto back in the day (saying it like the 2000s were 40 years ago😂), and they were so good on the road. Smooth, good steering. And the interior was really comfortable.
My uncle had one and drove it until it died. Lasted a good while! I don't have much hate for the impalas of that era. The 1959 impala however...What a beauty! My grandfather drove that and I got to test to drive it when I was able to drive.
Can't say how impalas in general are now. But the 2000s era impalas were good. From my experience.

I had a ‘95 Prism LSi for a few months. As in I bought it for $400 and did a demo derby race with it. Fun times. Hearing that start gave me good memories.

that impala ss is kinda rare, they weren’t too popular back in the day, but it is a supercharged V6

That Impala looked great!!!! Don't forget to get the table out of the back of the CR-v. There are 4 Or so CR-Vs in the LKQ yard by me. None have that table. Sucks

My first car was an Impala SS and i really love them. I had a 2006 so i didnt have an 8 cylinder engine, but the 55k miles one you showed is probably a 2005 and has it!

My 2010 Altima now has 255,000 miles and no problems with the CVT transmission. No big Altima energy for me.

The poor hondas with bad paint look 20 years older than they should've if honda hadnt messed it up.
Yeah my 06 civic has its paint messed up on the roof for a while due to the sun.
Same thing with my 05 Toyota. They really dropped the ball on the paint during those days.
