Song of the year is a 2 player contest between Everglow "Colourz" and BabyMonster "Forever". Both songs are perfect masterpieces and feel good/dance/sing along songs. This is so good. Vocals, visuals, raps, dance, music, attitude, video is all beyond perfect. They are killing everybody. BabyMonster doesn't have competition, they have victims. Their 2024 video releases have more views than all other girl group 2024 released MV views combined. You miss the concept. "It was only a dream" was even said in the lyrics over and over. This was Pharita's dream and she is stuck in a dream loop "Forever". She was the only one who had supernatural stuff happen throughout the MV: reflection does not follow physics, shrunk and stuck in claw machine, flying upside down on the clouds in a flying car and her hair isn't even effected by gravity, + she was the only one in the bed sleeping. Elements of Disney: Peter Pan with Big Ben flying through the clouds with fireworks, Cinderella with the shoes and clock hitting midnight, and especially Snow White in the Forever Sleep and she wakes up with birds singing surrounded by the dwarfs. The ending showing the shoes and invitation is proof that it never happened because both shoes are still there and she still has the un-opened invitation. The music starts the loop all over with Ruka ringing the doorbell. They should have ended with Pharita looking out the peephole seeing Ruka whispering BabyMonster.
Imagine how much more successful they would be if most Koreans didn't hate them? They hate them because: 1. 4 of 7 members are not Korean (YG needs to put Chinese members in his next group to piss them off even more. ) 2. 4 of their 7 songs have no Korean (english only) - Dream, Christmas Without You, Stuck in the Middle, Like That 3. Even their 3 Korean language songs have less than 50% Korean. I have even heard some complain about Ahyeon using a French word in her rap. 4. They are not doing the Kids Bop Lolita concept like New Jeans and Illit even though they are younger than those groups and they love that lolita kids bop perv stuff there. 5. They are better than EVERY group to come out of Korea since Blackpink and are destroying EVERYBODY world wide. 7. It is YG and they are sick of being dominated by YG artists over the past 15 years and realize that BabyMonster will continue that YG domination for another 15 years. HAHAHAHA. 8. YG artists don't care about music show wins, they care about the fans and quality of artists and music. 9. BabyMonster releases music for Western market so it hits Western Europe Sunday morning and Americas Sunday noonish when most people are off work and they will get more exposure and the Koreans wake up Monday morning with BabyMonster already breaking records and owning the fandoms worldwide 10. They are making most other groups look like the bunch of talentless, boring, fake hacks they are.
Agree that the Rap line hits hard, but the follow up by Asa and Ruka mugging the camera was awesome!!!! The bent forward so hard I thought they would need to see a chiropractor after that.
