That's why SIFU is Easily one of the best Indie Games of 2022 so far, Sloclap really Learned from their mistakes in Absolver. Always love the devs who try to come up with new game ideas, unlike those AAA companies who just want to bag the cash over an already successful Indie ideas.

I loved Absolver much more, although it get's monotonic quicker. They should make Absolver 2, with deeper story, etc. Or make a medieval China game, like Age of Wushu, Swordsmen X, etc.

All this game needs is a survival mode or something similar, maybe an arena? See how long you last against waves of different enemies coming at you, would be the perfect addition.
I'd rather have more levels and more unique enemies. Arena gameplay gets rather tedious, since you always stay in one place. Take Darksiders 3 Crucible DLC for example
@@yds6268 It’d be cool if the arena changes setting every now and then to different areas of different levels, with increasingly difficult enemies showing up and at larger quantities. Would be nice to see new enemies and settings as well though
I'd honestly pay good money for co-op multiplayer of this. My friends and I are dying to have us all fight side by side. Maybe then the arena idea would be much more worth it. Beat em up games are aren't as common anymore. This could easily be one of the best ones on top of what it already is.
Or a coop mode where multiple people share the coins

Howie Lee did an amazing job on the music, I immediately noticed how well the music corresponds with each setting and scenario and was always something I kept thinking about while playing the game. The music really is phenomenal, I was shocked to learn it was his first time working on a video game soundtrack because it was so well done
Just like Ghost of Tsushima has spoiled me from other games with swordplay, Sifu has done that with hand to hand combat. Other fighting games seem so arcady and trash compared to the fluidness of Sifu. I hope this game gets a DLC or a sequel, cause I'm having a blast! Made it all the way to The Tower but decided to start over from The Slums again since I was already 48yrs old. I want to try to make it there at least at 28yrs old.
In France, the devs said in the interview that the game will receive content in the future (dlc more exactly), the next thing that is coming soon are the Chinese voices

@@TrickyJebus Agreed. I thought no game would be able to come close to Godhand in terms of melee combat. Sifu comes very close.
There's always Sleeping Dogs which before Sifu was THE martial arts game you play if you wanted fluidity of combat combined with actual martial arts moves. Before Sifu no other game could compare I'd say even Absolver would be considered trash next to a game like Sleeping Dogs.
Yo, try Sleeping Dogs. That game is the best open world fighting game ever made. Story is very good too.
Sifu was honestly such an amazing game, the developers really did a great job. Howie’s music was also some of the best video game music ive ever heard. Huge respect to everyone on the team

The game caught a lot of chinese players' attention, maybe Tencent or Netease will hire them. Netease already hire Nagoshi Studios(A former creator of Yakuza series)

@@morukuser returnal was my goty last year and probably in my top 5 all time favorite games. I also got hooked On my challenging games because of souls like games. Except I’ve never actually beaten dark souls lol just bloodborne and sekiro. The dark souls universe doesn’t really mesh with me but I love the gameplay and reward you get with beating a challenging boss. Sifu is gonna be in my top 3 this year for sure. Maybe the top. There is some really good games coming this year though. Horizon being right around the corner.

one of the best martial arts games I've played, I hope it has DLC, like a challenge mode, or a new story, and also that this game has a sequel, it's well deserved
New type of martial art , or characters
This game is easily a 10/10. Beautifully designed, simple, yet full of depth, impact-action-packed, and a very rewarding game with a ton of replay ability to master your Kung Fu. Being age 20 fighting Yang feels great! I hope an update comes in to bring additional content.

One the elements that I loved the most was music really gets you in a feeling of vengeance while it's motivational great work seriously !
This is why SIFU is a work of art, I just commented in another video how while playing the game it really felt like the devs knew exactly what they were doing and what they wanted the game to be, and they accomplished it with style (IMO).. I just really loved and enjoyed playing the game, and I just finished the game yesterday at 20 y.o. and I'm in my second run trying to get the good ending, and after that the secret one!
Really looking forward to more games from Sloclap and maybe even a DLC for Sifu (even though I feel like the game doesn't necessarily need one)

The reason I keep playing this game, same levels, same villains, same everything is because the fighting technique is soooo setisfying.

Truly one of the best games I've ever played. The ability to improvise and create movement is fascinating. I hope the guys at SLOCLAP continue to expand this game with new movements, new scenarios and tougher enemies. The game is REALLY hard but fun at the same time.
It seems this year more passionate made games are coming out, and I love it. Sifu and Eldin Ring are THE best examples.
Sifu is the only game that I know of where every mistake you make, makes you better. That's why it's a good game.
Dark souls
Thanks for this beautiful shit man! love every fkin thing about it. The style, the direction, the art direction, the music, the martial arts, the authenticity, the actual skill training, the feel and experience of it all combined, the entire fkin package. Just love it.
Motion pictures nowadays can capture that speed. Wish the studio can do another speedrun game like this.

Hand to hand combat has been pretty stagnant since Batman came out this game really blew me away with the combat I can’t wait for there next game

Thanks for making this indie game, I know it’s exaggerating but this is i think the best game I have ever played as fighting third-person genre.
The feeling of perfectly parrying enemies' attacks is unbelievable, all enemies jump and push towards you while you can finish them all .. ah 😭😭 The adrenaline flows into my body as I play these games.

What people often overlook is how good the music and level design is. This is a lesson for AAA developers who take their audiences for granted.

When I was wondering about why The Tower is very yellow-ish, I thought of the five elements. Then it struck me. Wood - The Squats, greenery and plants. Fire - The Club, the fires and the reds. Water - The Museum with the blue and water. Metal - The Tower with the golden color. Earth - The Sanctuary with all the calming brown. According to the ‘rules’ though, Wood nurtures Fire, Fire nurtures Earth, Earth nurtures Metal, Metal nurtures Water, Water nurtures Wood.
Hands down one of the best fighting games ever...

Does anyone remember Jet li's rise to honor game that came out on Playstation 2 some years ago. This sifu game is a close reminiscent to that. As far as fighting multiple characters at once and being one bad azz Kung fu martial artist in the center of it all. If you never played jet li rise to honor. Please give it a go. But this new sifu game which has become my new favorite has definitely set the standard for single player martial arts adventure. Take notes you other developers take notes.

Hey … I don’t care if people said that SloClap team has taken the “Posture Structure” mechanism from The studio FromSoftware, this feature added wonderfully into the game. I love when developers come up with new different ideas such parrying, guarding, and dodging. These three movements are incredibly amazing 😍🥰

They work so hard and we call any game we don't LiKE Trash. If someone calls Sifu trash then remember this you are calling the Martial artists 30-40 yrs of dedication and discipline a useless endeavour

edit: I've gotten very good insight when it comes to game development, as someone who's still learning to develop and a fan of visuals, music production, and animation. I'll say these are quite helpful to know, especially in the music producing and animating. I never put deep thought into how I want this music to be, so listening to Howie Lee talking about "aark, revenge" and so on really made me want to think more about how I'll have to up my game. Thanks!! I haven't played the game myself but I've watch two of my favorite CZcamsrs (Coryxkenshin & Kubz Scouts) play it, my favorite OST is the club one, especially when you're entering this stage where the lights make sounds going "Ti-ti-titin" (Depending on how many lights you can hear)
It's such an ironic it's the French who actually capture the essence of Chinese martial art in video game instead of Chinese.
