for the record, an average roll for a skill 2 is 14 for me, anything higher is an amazing sight.

Kinda. Talisman Sinclair is good in other content, RR especially, but in MD, he loses all of his talismans (and clashes very very bad). Wsang though it's kinda doubtful to be an essential core, especially when his count application sucks without enough charge.
I would recommend taking a look at wAgent guide for rupture. He's pretty good.

In MD gifts are the thing that carries Rupture
Thunderbranch and the fusion is all you need
Thunderbranch being the MOST important one the fusion more of a "Just In Case" you fail to maintain Count

@@yudapo997 w sang only needs to use 1 skill 1 before his skill 2 can apply neutral count and keep a chain going or start a rupture chain with 3 count due to applying the 2 count after applying rupture potency, and his skill 3 applies 3 count effectively on use/clash win and 2 count at the end of turn, and while this may only be while charged, its his s3 so you wont be spamming it enough for that to matter. S1 is -1 on count, but it's also only single coin and at least applies potency. He's technically one of only 2 characters in the game that aren't count negative, with the other being meat lantern don. Like with most rupture units, he requires some discipline to use, but that doesn't make him any less potent in the right hands. As well as that in mirror dungeons, there are a plethora of easy to obtain gifts that give him extra charge. He also perfectly fuels rambling man.

Hong lu and don? Wouldnt it be a waste to have 2 tanks in a single team? I dont have lantern don but im thinking of sharding her next walpurgis just because i need extra lust as it is what my current rupture team lacks

imo lantern don aint there to be a tank as much as she's there to help maintain rupture (+2 S1, -3 S2 that applies 4 count if it starts the rupture stack, count neutral S3)
... which doesnt really matter on md where you never run out of count but oh well

Stuff like that is reserved for specifically IDs like 7 Faust, Cliff, & W Sang for example.

​@@PQ1-9or ringsang on rupture because he is genuinely goated in rupture due to 3 coin gloom s1, his status synergy, and the fact that he will randomly be count neutral or positive which is somehow better than wsang being mostly negative because his charge conditionals for rupture suck. Maybe not in md though since ringsang cannot proc rupture gifts but wsang can.
