Being consistently ignored by the media is partially why Nuggets have a chip on their shoulder. Milwaukee received the same treatment even after winning the ring. It was all about "if KD's toe wasn't on the line in game 7..." I'm rooting for Denver to take it all!

Well, from a media/news pov, coverage of the Lakers, who have one of the greatest players of all time, and nearly took the game to OT, is more newsworthy. It's really that simple.
Yes, Denver and Jokic had a great performance, but they also nearly blew a 20-point lead. Had Denver finished that game with the same lead, the narrative would've been Denver destroying the Lakers because that would've been more newsworthy.

Murray and MPJ returning healthy, Aaron Gordon's drastic improvement, and the acquisitions of Bruce Bowen and KCP. Embiid getting the regular season MVP only means that the Sixers are trash without him which discredit players like Harden and Maxey. The past 2 years that Jokic did get MVP he was literally putting the team on his back while this time around he has less weight to carry.

I heard everyone talking about Jokic. He balled through 3 quarters. Best fg% on a 30 pt Triple double. An all time great three quarters then he went cold in the 4th. He didn’t close out the game. He started playing poorly and the Lakers almost came back. That WAS the story. Jokic was balling while the Lakers were playing 3 guards. It was indeed more about the adjustments. Who plays that well then just falls off when it gets tight.
