Highlights from Clark University Commencement 2024

On May 20, Clark University awarded 1,376 degrees to the Class of 2024 - 503 bachelor’s, 847 master’s, 26 doctoral, and four honorary. “So much precedes this day and so much will, of course, follow it,” President David Fithian told the graduates at Clark’s 120th Commencement, held for the first time at the DCU Center in downtown Worcester. “But for now, for this day, smile upon yourself, applaud your achievements, reflect upon your growth, celebrate your friends and classmates, and, perhaps most importantly, bask in the love of those here with you and for you.”

A group of friends reviewed your recent email inviting him to Clark University. Yet, as a white male, he was shocked that you had numerous pictures of students and faculty, but not one included a black male student. We must end racism so that all students feel welcome at university. Obviously, your video does show a black male student, but that is insufficient since most potential students will not watch this video that our comment is on.
