Yes, hearing the word no. Especially with finding spaces. Landlord don’t want any form of tattooing and as soon as I say PM they go no.

I'm here with you. I'm dying to get out of the job I'm in, already took microblading currently finishing powder brows course, already have the equipment to start but I keep backing out of signing a lease for a salon suite over the fear of failing. Wish you the best and lots of success!
Doooo it! I just opened my microblading business and I’ve already did 5 people. The only way to get better and over that fear is to do it. Only if you’ve been practicing too.

I’m about to do an online lash and brow bundle through LXA in Australia - it’s fully online and someone said I shouldn’t do it. But there is no lash academy in my area and I’m also a single mum of a newborn (due next week!) and a two year old so I have to do what fits in and works for me. I can go and do a two day face to face down the track so the trainer can pick up on any mistakes I may have picked up during my online training. I’m also doing my Microblading training- both the beginner foundation and the more advanced machine ombré technique and then I’ll go on to do more Microblading courses and learn from tutorials online and on here as well. I chose to do this lash and brow bundle as it’s over 10 courses for $4000 and if I did all those separately at any school in Australia it would be over $7000 and my m-blading beginner corisw is on a new year flash sale for $700 (50% off with a kit) and the machine course is 50% off with kit as well for $1299! So I thought- I have been waiting years to do all these lash brow and Microblading corisws and this bundle is no credit check $25 a week for the lash and brow bundle that includes classic, hybrid, Russian, whispies, coloured, lash lift/perm, lash tint and then the brow part includes brow wax, tint, sculpture, henna, lamination and a couple of others I can’t think of off the top of my head.
So yes it’s a large investment but I have lifetime access to the lash and brow bundle so I can take my time and I intend on making 2023 my year of just training and practicing and then the Microblading I have access to for 6 months from the first date of login. So I think it’s worth it and I think if you invest time and money into at least the first initial courses you do it pays off. I could go and do an in person cert 3 makeup and beauty and the I get to do a singoe ynit that includes lash and brow wax n tint and classic lash extensions but that’s $4000 to do a bunch of units I don’t want to do only to do a very tiny two week training unit on the smallest amount of what I want to do so I would have to travel to do all the lash and brow corisws and pay the $5k plus to do them separately and all over the place I wouldn’t have access to them all at once whenever I needed them. I also have to buy my kits for each short course where as this lash and brow bundle includes everything I need as does the Microblading courses even down to the machine in the pro Microblading course which I will buy now cos it’s on sale but won’t do it until I finish the beginner one which also comes with a kit. What do you think? Sorry about long and very typo filled message I’m rushing to nest and clean before baby comes and watching your videos in the background. I should add my sister owns a nail salon and says I can have a space in her salon when I’m qualified but we often fight lol so I think mixing our biz life isn’t a good idea so I intend on renting a room in a hair or laser salon or something.
Would you be able to shed some light on the start-up costs involved when opening your business? I know the general costs for training but it doesn't seem like many people are talking about this topic. I am wondering what is the cost to lease space, insurances, utilities, accounting, website, credit card/debit card fees (for when a clients uses cards to pay) etc. I realize this will vary depending on where you live but if you can share anything with us related to startup costs that would be great. Thanks for sharing everything you know because people are selfish , I just had a bad experience I gave 1500 dollars to a person called a trainer on microblading and didn’t even give me a kit , anyways I hope to keep learning , also what products are good ? Thanks for creating this! I’m looking to get into this but I don’t want to work in a location, I’d like to work from home. I know NJ requires a license, would I still need a license if I’m working from home?
Most states don't allow for artists to work at home, but there are definitely some that do! Ohio is where I live and work - one of the requirements to get licensed per the state law is that the location is zoned for business. So that unfortunately would rule out most homes. I would say call your local health department and ask, your state may be different! :)
Do you think learning from online is just ass successful then in person? I’m a single mom and really want to do this but doing it online would be easier for me but I really want to be successful. What would you recommend?

Not big on having people in my home . I have all the equipment and chair . I went to a shop but booth rent on top of having no clients was a failure . Do you recommend starting from home???

My fiance wants to do this and I want to help her with the capital to start where should she we live in nevada so she needs a body art card to practice this but she doesn't know if she should go learn in a tattoo shop or not? Please help how much do you charge for consulting?
I have a question? Is a certificate necessary? I’m my state the training is at $3000+ for 2-3 Days, and not much is covered. I’m afraid to spend that much , when I can buy myself and do research with training. Hope someone answers me on this. I recently discovered PMU, and I’m fascinated with this industry since I discovered it.

In terms of finding employment? I think most people in our industry work for themselves so there isn't a need for finding a job. But countless opportunities in doctor offices, spas, salons, and so much more!

No love, we priced it very low so clients could buy supplies when they are ready

Hi! Owning a business is by far way more advantageous than being a W2 worker tax wise. W2 wages (paychecks) are taxed by the government at a high rate, and with businesses you can write numerous things off and utilize tons of tax breaks. An accountant would be better suited to talk to about that, since I am not an expert. But owning a business provides lots of tax benefits
